Lewisville North Animal Clinic opened as a new business in April of 1971. The clinic was opened by Dr. Walter Legg and his wife Jean in a 600 square foot lease space north of Dalton and Son Funeral Home. In June 1974, Dr. Edward Aycock entered into partnership with Dr. Legg and construction on a new facility began. Most of the interior painting and finishing was done by Dr. and Mrs. Legg and Dr. Aycock's then wife, Kay. The new clinic was ready for business in its current location in October of 1974. The original clinic staff consisted of Dr. and Mrs. Legg and Dr. Aycock. Dr. Aycock's mother, Adeline, and Dr. Legg's mother, Mary, each helped out one day a week to give Jean some time off. Dr. Legg left the practice in 1991 to accept a job in industry. Dr. Judy Johnson was on staff from the early 1980's to 1988 and returned in 1995. Dr. Durham joined our staff in 2002. Jean Legg has served as office manager of the clinic since its inception.
