It was great. The salon environment is comfortable and I loved the Christmas music playing. And of course the smells of the products and the special treatments:)! And I appreciate a hot cup of tea and the other beverage choices. All of it keeps me coming back and excited for me hair cuts:) I had a great time with Tom, too. -Lisa more

Your staff is always very friendly and I enjoy my visits to your salon. I was a little underwhelmed during my last visit because my stylist took a walk-in during my appointment - she does a WONDERFUL job on my hair color (always), but I'm not thrilled with my haircut this time. She was in a hurry and said I could come back if I still wasn't happy with it when I got home... she also didn't do my 2 salon treatments (neck/scalp massage and makeup touch-up). Again, I'm sure it was because she was double-booked. I really expect to leave the salon with a cut that I love, especially because I shell out at least $150 each time I visit. Thanks, Megan more

I'm new to the area and was looking for an Aveda salon when I found L'essence. I found the staff to be extremely friedly and efficient. The salon was beautifully appointed and clean! I found my facial and massage to be excellent, they actually took time to ask questions so they could individualize my treatments. i was so impressed I went back later for a pedicure and found it equally enjoyable. First I have to say NEVER have this procedure done there, go to Eyelash Connection. Second, if you have any other work done there, pay by credit card so you can dispute the charges if it doesn't meet your expections. Third, the owner will not own up to any mistakes she or her staff makes. I found that L'essance had provided eyelash extentions. I made an appointment with the only person in the salon who does them, Linda who is the owner of the salon. The price is $200.00 for your first full set and your first fill is free. She was nice and two hours after my procedure my eyes looked like spider legs instead of full lashes! I mentioned they were not as full as the brochure she had given me. She assured me that my next fill will make them look fuller?! I called her back that evening and explained how unhappy I am and they look nothing like my girlfriends lashes who have been getting them done somewhere else. She asked me to come back for a fill which took one hour. I did, and she still didn't fill them all the way!! I went to the lady my girlfriend referred me to to get a second option (Eyelash Connection). She said Linda put way too much glue on them and glued 5,6,7 of my own lashes to only one of the extentions!!!!! The new gal had to remove all the extentions Linda put on because there was sooo much glue, she couldn't get any new one's on! I then had to wait one day to let my lashes relax before getting a new set again. I paid $175 for my new set w/my first fill being free. THEY CAME OUT BEAUTIFULLY!! And it was cheaper and only took one hour not two like Linda had done. I went directly to L'essance to show Linda the difference and explained I wasn't happy after letting her try twice to get it right. I asked for a refund. She blamed me for "waisting 3 hrs of her time"!!! When I was the one who paid her and wasted my time from work and spent more money to get them done right! She used the exuse that I didn't have enough lashes??? Obviously I did and that the other girl was able to put them on just fine (one extension per lash) not 5 or more per lash like she had done. She mailed me the next day a check for only $75.OO!!!! This is the most unprofessional salon I have ever been to and would NEVER recommend anyone to go there since the owner of the salon doesn't even own up to their mistakes. The check she wrote to me says "partial refund for service rendered!" So my question is, where's the other $125.00 I am owed? more

I have been to this spa five to six times and each time was very pleased. The people were very nice and made you feel very welcome. All alone the way they were offering how to make the expierence better. I most enjoyed the facial at this spa. Very relaxing. Their beds are the most confortable beds I have ever been in and the people there are pros. If you have a chance check out this spa. more
