Do NOT honor Warranty 6/30/2019

Stay away from Leslie Heating & Cooling!! They sold me and installed a new Amana/Goodman Furnace & outside AC unit in October 2009 in my home. They have inspected it twice a year since then. I purchased all of their suggested upgrades, in the hope/promise of extending the life of my system. I joined the $15 a month Leslie Family Plan as soon as it was offered. On June 7, 2019 Carlos (never saw him before), a Tech person, inspected my system and gave me a $2,000 estimate to replace the Evaporator Coil. ($1,500 is standard pricing.) I explained about my ten year EXTENDED warranty (Leslie claims they give a 12 year warranty on their website. Haha.) and this part should be covered but he insisted it was not. So I fired Leslie H&C and opted out of the Family Plan starting July 1, 2019. I had already auto-paid $15 (on 6/2/19) for the June 2019 Family Plan installment. Fast forward to Saturday, June 29th (90+ degrees)when I called because my AC stopped working. I was told they wouldn't come to my house. They wouldn't honor the warranty. I should call someone else. Apparently it is a dysfunctional family plan. I will be calling Amana/Goodman Consumer Affairs Dept (877-254-4729) on Monday to report Leslie H&C. I will also be contacting IL Consumer Affairs to report them. Bottom line? Stay away! They want to make money on the extended warranty AND over charge you for the parts covered by the warranty. I can't recall ever having the same Tech Person come more than once. And the Tech's repeatedly complained about the prior work and wiring. Stay Away! more

Thorough service check leads to discovery 12/17/2018

The technician Joe was detailed and thorough in checking my two furnaces. He discovered an electrical miswiring that caused the humidifier to run incorrectly. It was there since the original installation from over 12 years ago! Imagine at least 8 different Heating and Cooling outfits never discovered that error in their inspections. more

I called for service and was told I would be seen between 12 pm and 4 pm. Which didn't happen. After calling a few times and being told someone would be by my house at a couple different times Joe called me apologized for the delay and showed up as promised. He did an amazing job of explaining the ins and outs of what he was doing and adjusted some loose bolts to stop a leak I had, as well as explained the damage that leak could potentially cause and offered some great advice to avoid future issues. Joe turned a bad situation, me having to wait an additional 2.5 hours for service, into a pleasant one, thanks to his professional demeanor and attention to detail and all around exceptional knowledge and customer care. more

Service call 9/25/2018

Roy G came out to look at the gaps in the ducting for my ac/furnace as there was a lot of air escaping. Instead of redoing the duct work, he fixed the gaps with tape, and made it a lot quieter. Also had a high pitch sound when the blower was going and said that was the blower so he checked the screws on the blower and found one loose. He was very knowledgeable and knew what to do from the beginning. I will request him from now on. more

Illya came out to check my furnace but first wanted him to check out a loud whistling noise. While he was looking at everything discovered that the air ducting was not correct and air was escaping maybe causing the noise. He called his company and have someone coming out next week to look at what it would take to make it right. Illya was very knowledgeable and continued to check out my furnace which checked out fine. Was happy to learn more about my problem and to get it fixed in the near future. more
