I am very sorry to write this as I am not someone who complains a lot, much less write a negative review. But I feel compelled in order to warn parents who consider attending their child to this school. First of all, it is as some of the previous writers wrote, difficult to know if the Montessori philosophy is followed, because the information they provide about this is very limited. Second, the principal and director are indeed unprofessional and incompetent for the function they have. They seem not to embody the tasks of being a role model and providing a healthy organized place for education. Somehow they just don t want to take the responsibility. I m actually wondering if they have accomplished any studies in education. The third thing I find necessary to mention is the total lack of communication. When you re the head of a school, you need to be prepared to talk to parents and show your good will. But nothing of this is happening here. Overall there is a negative energy, because there is too much focus on the things children are not allowed to do; instead of rewarding and stimulating good behavior. more

WARNING: Not Family Friendly 4/3/2011

This is not a good school. A good school believes parents and teachers are partners, like the home schedule should match the school schedule for naps and eating. But they don't talk to you about it, you can't ask the teachers, and the administrators are irritated by questions. It's really true they don't let you speak with the teachers. The new building has wonderful potential but quality childcare is mostly about the people and you'll never know what's really going on. I guess if you're a passive parent who doesn't know any better, then you'll be fine. If you want quality care for your child, and want to know they're getting it, then don't enroll here. more

Run, run, run away 4/2/2011

My daughter attended for 20 minutes. They want you to hand over your child without being able to see the classroom, meet the teachers, discuss her current meal/snack/drink schedule, or ask any questions. Their secrecy rules and rules preventing parental involvement runs counter to all Dept of Ed recommendations. It felt worse than going to the DMV office. What I've learned since is that it's a ""Montessori"" school in name only, no accreditation. The only reason to hide a good learning program is if you're not offering one. more

Good School 12/10/2008

This school is definitely a strong choice. The teachers and aides are loving and kind, and there is a clear curriculum from daycare on up. There are lots of fun activities and my daughter is learning quite a lot. The management has replaced its operating director and I believe many of the communication issues other posters have criticized have been resolved in the last year. Pros: good outdoor spaces for play, strong teachers, good class size, good value Cons: the lunchroom/gym is not pretty more

Reluctant to enroll my child 8/17/2006

When I went to inquire about the school, I wasn't actually given a tour, so I didn't see any classrooms, or learning going on. There was a large space with no windows, cinder block walls, and children sitting around their tables. But they just seemed to be waiting and not really involved in any activity. I didn't feel the prices for admission, etc. were in correlation with this (more or less) ""baby-sitting."" more

Lack of communication 1/25/2006

The teachers they hire are generally good, however, the school administration is terrible. It is extremely difficult to know how your child is doing in the class, because parents are not allowed to speak to his/her teacher freely. They use harsh separation method and absolutely no parents participation in the class. Also there are many extra fees, such as school uniforms, gym clothes, dance classes, private and semi private lessons of musical instruments, friday lunch and water. Pros: large facility, reasonable tuition, good teachers Cons: large class size, lack of communication, rude management more
