Great food and service!! 9/23/2011

Leo's is our favorite place to go when our family comes to town. We enjoy meeting there, the food is always great and the service is too. We are usually a large group and there is never any problems with our orders and we don't feel that we have to rush. Nachos are always our favorite appetizer and the sopapillas for dessert are the best!!! We will continue to meet there for our ""mini family reunions!!!"" more

Excellent Food and Friendly Service 9/22/2011

We always look forward to a family get together at the Leo's westside location on Remcon. Our favorites include ""caldo de res and chile rellenos"". We are never rushed and the wait staff is always cordial and attentive. more

The Food was Fantastic 9/22/2011

My Family and I decided to go eat at leos and my kids fell in love with there mexican rice and the beans. I had chicken enchiladas with mole sause and they were outstanding. My wife was not in the mood for mexican so she had a fiesta chicken sandwich and she said it was delicious. But let me tell you the best was there sopapillas with the honey, My wife and I like there plain sopapillas and my kids love there cinnamon sopapillas. more

Terrible Service at Leo's 8/21/2011

We walked into to Leo's at Remcon Circle half an hour before closing. We were served the usual chips and salsa. Wait persons kept passing by our table without a mention acknowledging us. After twenty minutes of waiting we decided to leave. I mentioned to someone who seemed to be the mananger that since they would soon be closing they didn't need our business. All he did was apologize. more

What? Texmex? 8/27/2006

After walking into this restaurant something just didn't feel right. Once we were seated and ordered our food, I realized what felt so strange. We were in a Mexican restaurant and all the patrons were anglo. Not a good sign when you are in a predominantly Hispanic area. Sure enough when the food came, it wasn't palatable. I had the chicken quesadilla with beans and rice. I recall the salsa tasting like ketchup with some Italian herbs. The quesadilla was whole wheat, not customary white flour. The chicken was cold and didn't seem cooked. It tasted like it came from a can as opposed to the customary grilled chicken you would find in a quesadilla. My husband had tacos that were similarly not palatable. This place is always bustling and busy. We just don't get it. Must be that people in Texas like Texmex. People here in New Mexico don't. We like authentic Mexican or Southwestern food. Not cheap imitations. Pros: The refried beans were very good! Cons: The chicken tasted canned. more
