Worst

I took my new Tundra to Leifs to repair a rear end accident. When I got it back I could not drive it down the freeway. Leifs had took it out for a joy ride andput 15 miles on it. ...

My girlfriend had just bought a Ford Taurus X with only 36K miles on it. We had both a Ford dealership (Courtesy Ford) and Goodyear do a pre purchase inspection and our rotors, drive-line, etc; well everything on the car was in great shape and everything was running as it should (I have reports from both stating this). 3 months after buying the car and maybe 3K miles more we put on it and we got in an accident where we were rear-ended while hardbraking. The person accepted full responsibility. After we got the car back from Leifs...the car started shimming at high speeds and sometimes while braking at certain speeds. I called Greg Libby the person assigned to me...and in his infinite wisdom he was able to determine by my message that the car could not possibly be experiencing problems from the accident and that it must be our fault and the cars normal wear and tear. Both my partner and me can assure all of you the car drove like a dream prior to the accident, one of the reasons we bought it. I can also tell you we drive it like old people since we bought it for our newborn baby. So severely warped rotors (which is what Ford found to be the problem) was the problem. Again I was told it must be my fault not the accidents by Leif's. Literally the car was not safe to drive the rotors shimmed so bad at 60+ miles an hour. They tried to have me go to their auto-shop and they were going to treat it as a new case and charge me full price for repairs. I was furious!!!! Farmers insurance rep. Justin said that it was odd they didn't even contact him with my complaint...before advising me of their stance on the issue. Farmers offered to take care of it. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy I called the main Ford customer line and they transferred me to very nice tech minded gent. and in short he said that's odd they said ""it was impossible to have come from the accident"", when sometimes at hard-braking, if all of the inertia or forward energy was on the brakes and we were hit hard enough stretching could certainly happen. Without proper evaluation of the crash site, etc...they cannot determine fault as wear and tear only. Now we are noticing a major problem with the work they did on our tailgate. The handle is basically falling and peeling away from the door two weeks after the work. I think it is hilarious. I used to do body work in school years ago...and I looked and saw an old clip that looked dilapidated and broken...its not a piece that should break like that unless the clips were not properly installed or they were damaged in the repairs or removal (which often times they are) Leifs has made a commercial saying they would never put the old clips back on. I don't believe them and you shouldn't either. Also the Farmers and Progressive reps have both told us they have had several calls in regards to shoddy work from Leif's...but once I decided where to take my car it was out of their hands. Insurance companies don't use Leif's because they do honest work....they don't because they are known for having trouble in cases like mine where customer satisfaction and trusting the customer should be #1. Shame on Leif's for not trusting the customer...shame on Leif's for lying about their honesty on their commercials. Maybe its time to downsize...it looks like they may have got to big for their own britches. more

I took my new Tundra to Leifs to repair a rear end accident. When I got it back I could not drive it down the freeway. Leifs had took it out for a joy ride andput 15 miles on it. On top of that there was a large dent on the side of the bed and the paint they applied had severe blisters everywhere. At the time I picked my truck up they told me I had an extra $100.00 dollars comming, No one told me of the damage or the defective pain. Leifs told me that the extra money was to have all the repaires fixed somewhere else. To fix leifs mistakes and negligents would have cost thousands. I sold the truck and lost lots of money. more

I grew up around cars so I know a thing or two. When my very old car broke down and I could not fix it myself, I brought it to Leif's. The mechanic did a good job explaining the problems thoroughly to me. I thought the prices were fair and service was great. I certainly recommend this place. more

I was in an accident earlier this year that damaged the majority of the left side of my truck. I have used Leif's for several other accidents and have loved the work they do everytime but even more so on this case.My insurance was trying to jip me for parts. Leif's fought tooth and nail to get my truck back in its best condition made sure the insurance company didn't slip them the wrong parts. They even provided a rental car and assistance on my deductible for no additional charge!!! Thanks again Leif's more

Leif's turned a truly horrific accident I was involved in a few weeks ago, into a real positive experience. The guys at Leif's could not have been more helpful. Even though insurance paid for my repairs, I thought the prices for parts and labor were fair. My insurance company were the ones who recommended you guys to me, I am glad I listened. more

Unfortunately I had the need to have my mother's '05 Odessey worked on for body repairs. Leif's however made it a pleasurable experience. they fixed my car back like new and had it on the road in just a few days. When I came to pick it up it was cleaned inside and out and there was acute chocolate waiting for me on the seat. I would use Leif's again. more

My daughter ended up getting in a really bad car accident, and I was thinking the car would be totaled by the way it looked, but when I took the car into Leif's they assured me they would do everything to save the car, and they did. They did a thorough examination, and told me, it's not as bad as it looks. I was relieved. Now the car runs like new, and my daughter drives much more cautiously. Thank goodness! more

After my car was hit by a security guard falling asleep at the wheel while patrolling, I had the option of having my car repaired anywhere I wanted. I was unhappy with the estimate from the guards insurance, however I should not have worried. Leif's went to bat for me and instead of just pounding the dents out or cutting and rewelding I was able to have all new parts...(door and quarter panel, among other things. I was kept up to date with phones calls every couple days or so, which I totally appreciated. I also thought that detailing the car before returning it to me was awesome. Ron at the Salem Leif;s has great customer service skills and I truly am grateful for all that was done on my behalf. Hopefully I will never have to visit another body shop but if I do, you can be assured it will be Leif's. more
