Bryan is the owner here. He personally is involved in the work. So it's not like you hire him and then he sends these random people to your place. Morals. He has them. That's what sets him apart. Worth every penny to use him and I'm not saying that to just be nice. He is the real deal. more

legacy did a bay window replacement for us. we liked bryan a lot. we had been looking at one window unit to replace the old one. he found a different new window to install that had better reviews and much better insulation for the same price for us. we were real happy about that. as far as the installation process, we were on a tight timeline and legacy got in there and got it done for us. they showed up right on time, cleaned up after themselves, and did a superior, in my humble opinion, job. we plan to use them again. more

I found Legacy Design and Construction Llc on facebook to be honest. It looked as though people in my community not only used this company the most for architecture and building, but the portfolio of work looked like it should be featured in a commercial or advertisement - highly detailed work. This was just about one year ago. Tiling, Wrought Iron stairs, butcher block counters - the nicer products that are highly sought-after. I hired Legacy to replace my doors and windows. I was guided throughout the whole process, given choices that I never would have even imagined were available to me (all within my price range mind you), and the work was done perfectly, right down to the tiniest detail. In the end, I wound up with a higher quality product for both my windows and my doors hiring Legacy compared to what four other contractors had quoted, using the lowest end products, I found after research. In other words, for the same cost, I paid Legacy to put in Anderson's top products rather than paying one of these larger companies or handyman services to put in no-name brands. Also, I did my homework before hiring Legacy, which is typically advised. They are licensed and insured and when you tell people that is your construction company of choice, they know that you you were using someone with a solid reputation who does fine carpentry and that things are done right.Brian is the owner of the company and an architect and when replacing my products, he told me what buyers would want when I went to put my home on the market about three years ago. My real estate agent told me that the buyers for my home had another comp and the windows and doors, which was exactly the work done by Legacy, was the selling point. Mine were quality; my competition was not. Don't you know, the buyer was a man who was a stickler about energy so Brian was 100% right. I was so excited I called him to thank him personally and tell him the good news! Happy customer! more

Legacy of Landenberg created my custom counters and installed new tile floor and back-splash in my kitchen. After being quite impressed after working with them once, I had them come back and redo my decking and patio. They really left me speechless both times. The quality of their work is far beyond what I have seen in the past and the detail in the tiling is simply outstanding. I was after a look and feel that was statement-worthy and it turned out even better than what I would have ever expected - and I was comparing what I wanted to a Southern Style Magazine! The end product of Legacy's work made the magazine feature look pale! Everyone who comes into my home asks who I found to do work like that. That is how skilled we are talking. My dream is to have Legacy build me a custom home but for now, I will happily take the work they have done! I had used other companies in years past and I will never again go that route. It is rather nice to walk away and feel that you were respected, a priority, and valued. Bravo! more

Pleased to say my feedback seems to be similar to what everyone else is reporting about Legacy Design and Construction LLC. Used them in my Hockessin home - twice now. Once for an exterior home renovation and the next to open up my floor plan to make my existing square footage have a better flow and be more functional for my family when we entertain guests or have family over. Frankly, Bryan came up with solutions we never even would have suspected we had. His architectural experience was immensely appreciated and we feel like we have a whole new house. He totally mapped out all of his plans and consulted with us every step of the way. He helped us arrive at the most affordable solutions to stay within our budget and he is one skilled guy when it comes to woodworking. Finest I can say I've ever seen. Whatever that guy produces is not only professional but quality. He is straight with you, he can troubleshoot and he literally can do it all with homes - floors, shelves, windows, doors - you name it and he can do it. Nice to finally have found someone who is a one stop shop for everything and who is always responsive. If I've got a problem or question or concern about anything in our house - not even pertaining to his work - I get a call back immediately and he can fix it. I'll say one thing for sure, he takes care of his clients and he's always looked out for me. Like everyone else seems to report, his work is solid, his family business is solid, and they are just very real people over there. Had old bathroom essentially taken out and removed. Replaced it with new one, including shower, flooring, cabinets, toilet, custom closet, heat lamp - the works. The goal was to have it done, for us to enjoy it for 3-4 years, and then sell our house, hopefully increasing the value. We picked out a bunch of stuff we liked. Brian took a look at the products, advised that we use some and not use others if we were looking to eventually resell our place. He said that for resale purposes you want to go with a nice, clean, product line that will not "date". He advised that we go with slightly more neutral colors and patterns because it will increase the appeal to prospective buyers. We took his advice. Can't say enough about how happy we are with the end product. Guy goes great work, solid work, well-thought out work. There isn't an inch he doesn't go over with a fine tooth comb. Very skilled in his field and we could say for sure we noticed a huge difference between him and other contractors we used in the past. Reliable. On time. Neat. Extremely hard worker. Doesn't forget anything. Cares about the quality of his work. Man of his word. Cares what you think of his work. If I were an investing man, I'd invest in this guy. I see why people like this company. more

gotta love legacy! wish i had found them sooner! i had a staircase that severely needed to be replaced. i was determined not to address the issue until i found a stand-up contracting company. i did my homework and interviewed about nine different companies from delaware and chester county. the job required a lot of trouble shooting because i still needed to have access to the upstairs of my house while the project was underway. i had about four contractors tell me there was no way they could do the project and still access my bedroom upstairs. i had anther company suggest that i leave my home during the construction process. i had a third company tell me that they would try to slap some paint on my steps rather than repair them to give the illusion that the underlying problems were addressed. then, i spoke with bryan from legacy and he figured out a way for me to still access my upstairs safely during the construction period. he gave me several different alternative ways to accommodate my needs, and he even drew up a professional proposal and plans for me showing how the project would flow. his estimate was thorough, it outlined everything reasonably, and could not have been more detailed. i knew as soon as i spoke with bryan and received the professional plans that this guy was operating at a whole different level than these other contractors i had spoken with. not only did bryan work nonstop to get the project done for me as soon as possible, but he stayed extra hours, regularly checked in with my satisfaction levels, and then he stopped in one day after the project had been done for some time to see how everything was holding up and to make sure i was still satisfied with the end result. this guy is the real deal. he' got honesty, he looks you in the eye when he's talking to you, his word is his bond, and i tell him all the time that he earned my trust 150%. if i could advise people who have upcoming home projects, i'd say don't even waste your time with these other companies. go with legacy. more

Legacy installed a new back door on my 4,000 square foot home and removed my old one. Additionally, Legacy had to remove a massive amount of old and rotting wood which surrounded my old door and replace it with new wood. There was a massive amount of woodworking which needed to be fine-tuned and it really required someone with a keen eye for detail and probably someone who is a bit of a perfectionist I interviewed four local companies and I was unsatisfied with their overall presentation, their inability to justify their proposals, and a lack of general professionalism. Now, one of my dear friends of over 20 years recommended that I call Bryan at Legacy because he is reportedly the "go to" guy in Landenberg and West Grove for quality construction. I contacted him, he came out and reviewed the work, and within three days, I had a detailed estimate and proposal. When I say detailed, I mean professional. Every aspect of the job was outlined and justified and every cost was itemized. This was far different than the general numbers other contractors just loosely threw at me. I knew then that this was the company I needed to use. The work took one day longer than anticipated but every morning Bryan was there bright and early. He did not bring a bunch of guys into my house. The work was done by him, inspected by him, and done perfectly. (I say this being a type A personality and a bit of a perfectionist). One other thing I wanted to note was that Bryan's estimate was directly in the middle of the other estimates I was given. Therefore, I felt I got a fair price and honestly, the best work I could have asked for. I am happy to report full satisfaction with my door and everyone asks who installed it because it is so pristine. Because I am a teacher by trade, I would say my grading is an excellent reflection of Bryan's work, ethics, company, and workmanship! Thankyou. more

More than satisfied customer! Exceeded my expectations. The other things you hear people complain about with contractors and home builders - not an issue with this company at all. You don't have tons of people in and out of your house. Everything is personalized and there is constant communication. If I had a question, I called Bryan, who is the company's owner, and I got an immediate response. The level of skill that Bryan has is rather amazing. He is a smart guy and he thinks about every little detail in every little job and how every aspect of building is related. He also just knows what looks good and what looks will be timeless. That increases your ability to sell your home for more money when you go to sell it. I literally have people come into my kitchen, which Bryan redid, and they just don't want to leave it. It looks stunning and his work is just magazine-worthy. It looks like it belongs on the cover of a magazine! Aside from the work itself and the communication, I just liked the ethics of the company. They don't go back on what they say. They do what they promise and they really take care of their customers. Bryan did my kitchen about three years ago and I still get occasional call backs to check in on me and make sure I am still loving the work. Have access to most unique and customized products around and demonstrated fair pricing. Never had a problem with one aspect of the building they did at my place and its been a solid four years now. Could not ask for a better contractor! High level of education and skill. Fair costs. Everything laid out with a plan and thoroughly explained to customers. Follow through with contracts is top notch. Prompt and courteous. Very polite and knowledgeable. Cleaned up thoroughly. Advised me on how to best maintain my products they installed. Saved me substantial money on my electric bills through heating, window, and door work I had them do. Advised me on how to pick the best products which were the most energy efficient. Honest. Dependable. They are a company that follows through with their work and I appreciated that. They are my company of choice and they have earned my support. Very happy to report a completely positive experience. I had my front door replaced, drywall hung, and new interior steps put in my 1500 square foot home. I felt like a valued customer because I always received prompt communication with any questions I had during the building process. I also liked that the designs and plans were done thoroughly. I am talking about skilled drawings where every "i" was dotted. This company is meticulous, thorough, and I do believe they are the best company within the greater Delaware area. I additionally did get 3 other estimates for the work and I got an estimate from Legacy that clearly was far superior, detailed, and organized. Well done guys ! more

live off of newark road in landenberg pa, kennett square school district. redid two bedrooms and two bathrooms and my kitchen in addition to a front entrance area that sits on the side of my house. had my house appraised after the work and it went up far more than i imagined in value. my goals of construction were to make my home nice while i am still living here and make it so the value at resale time went up considerably. i wanted to hire someone who knew what they were talking about and who knew what look the average consumer is going to like so that i was putting in things that would appeal to potential buyers. i had bryan come out. told him my goals. told him my budget. he showed up every day early. he worked nonstop, quietly, and neatly and he completed everything thoroughly. the other thing i liked is that this guy doesnt tell you to put in the stuff that's just sitting in a showroom somewhere. the choices out there are amazing and he is able to get them and negotiate on your behalf to get the lowest prices. he passes on his contractor discounts to you also. i also liked the integrity of legacy. if i ever had a question, i got in touch with them immediately or they called me back within seconds. every person who comes into my house asks me who did the work because it is just captivating. bryan also thinks about every little detail so that what you put in is functional for your lifestyle. he checks in on you after the work is done. i get christmas cards mailed to me from them and anybody in my area could call me and i'd give them a list of reasons why i'd hire bryan again. more

Legacy designed and built a sunroom we added onto our house. Best company we've found in the area. First contractor that was great with communication that we've come across yet in this area. Also called to check in with us about a year after the completion of the project to make sure we were enjoying our space and that everything was okay. Got a thankyou letter in the mail from them when the project was done and very obvious that the owner has an architecture degree. Things were done meticulously and to a T. Very gifted guy and we were very impressed! more
