This place is overrated. They expect you to wait over 2 hours for a hamburger??? How arrogant! That is poor management and hype. Once you get in, if you have the time to wait, the food is nothing spectacular. It is a run-down dump, decorated with toilets, for crying out loud. So what if it is on the Intra-coastal waterway? Not worth the wait. more

Terrible service. Dirty waitress's. For the money they charge can at least bring you water instead of making you fetch it. more

This restaurant is very unique. You sit on toilets and eat off of bath tubs (with wood on top). Food is very good and their burgers are great. A must for all locals and tourists! more

I'm not even sure where to begin, so i'll keep this short. My Latin American father, my indian friend, and my mexican friend walked into the bar and were immediately treated with disdain. the bartender was pissed off we came into his bar, and his really fat redneck friend called us names and threatened us. I am white, which shouldn't matter, but i was horrified. We kept completely to ourselves and were completely and constantly polite. It was scary to see this in 2010. We were eventually forced to leave the bar. The ladies we were sitting next to were also horrified. It was disgusting and shameful. Pros: good for racists Cons: racist bartender and customer more

Perfect theme Le Tub bcuz the burgers taste like they belong in the toilet! Horrible, full of birds, flat sodas, limited toppings, and a ridiculous wait time. You want a burger head to 5 guys burgers and fries. You'll thank me. more

What is up with all these bad reviews??? These people need to get laid or take a lick off their xanax salt block.. Environment is echlectic, water view is amazing with pet Jacks and other fish to feed while you sip a cold beer and wait for your Burger to be cooked to perfection.. If you want a 60 sec garbage burger, go to fast food. For God's sake, how long does it take you to Grill a 1lb burger? I found the server's pleasant, fun and quirky attitude makes for entertainment.. Dirty??? go have a picinic on dirt , then you can complain.. The meal was amazing, I could not stop enjoying the Burger. Joe the server was as professional as they come.. I mean what theF#@*ck ?? You sit down, order the meal, get a drink and enjoy life.. You want atmosphere?? Been coming here for 15 years. Its ramshackle appearance and driftwood tables on the water are a welcome sight for the laid back and unpretentious. Don't come here expecting traditional restaurant fare: quick, friendly service in air conditioned comfort with an extensive menu and reasonable prices. Come for a drink or eight as you lazy by the water and watch the yachts go by while the auburn sky washes over the calm of the intracoastal at sunset and four-foot tarpon fray about over tossed leftovers in the shallower waters below you. And if by your fifth drink your burger makes it to the table, it'll take the next three drinks to wash the oversized secret-spiced choice sirloin down and ponder what in the world you did in another life for the gods to cast such divine blessings upon you. All of this as you puff on your fave Cuban hand rolled or a Marlboro Light. Yes, this is what South Florida living is truly about. more

This place is the worst, they treat their customers horribly, like they cant be bothered with serving you. 1 1/2 hrs. waiting on a quiet night with lots of empty tables and still no sign of our burgers!!! The owner's response when we said we weren't going to wait anymore?? ""Fine I'll give 'em to someone else"". The waitress even said she hated the place, that should tell you something. My neighbors told me about this place (I should have known because they buy their wine at Winn Dixie!). My husband and I went here on a Sunday afternoon. The place smells of stale beer and feels quite seedy. I was a little uncomfortable, but decided to stay. The wait staff is slow and nonchalant. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and we waited forty five (45) minutes for our burgers. Now these burgers are huge, but I think this is overkill. If you make a great burger, it doesn't have to be this big. Bigger was not better. The burger was dry and I did not taste any specific seasoning in mine. The ketchup smelled like it had been out in the sun so I didn't use it. If you want beer, this is the place to go. If you want to eat, go elsewhere. more

I neither like nor dislike this restaurant. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired. The burgers are WAY over-rated in my opinion. I have had better seasoned burgers at various other restaurants (not to mention any backyard grill). It seems that the allure is the amount of beef you are served for a miniscule price. I would probably not go back to the restaurant on my own. I am much more likely to go with friends or others that can appreciate an overdose of beef. I encourage anyone to go to develop their own opinion. more

I was in Le Tub with my mother in law, and 9 months pregnant wife. We ordered 2 beer, one coke(for my wife), seafood salad, and a burger, after waiting 25 min on a dirty table which had food left overs from the previous clients. We placed our order, then started to wait. It was more than one hour wait time after the first 25 min, then I saw they were serving almost the same food we ordered to the next table, they placed their order after us. I asked our waiter to explain this situation, then another waiter who (Steve) was serving to next table jumped in and start to yell at us. I asked him to let me listen our waiter's explanation first, he kept yelling at us..he yelled ""I CAN KICK YOUR ASSES OUT"" .. I could not believe my ears. Our waiter kept apologizing for his behavior, and offered us to cover the drinks while we were leaving the restaurant. I paid for the drinks and left with my pregnant wife, and her mother who came from Europe a couple days ago. What a night! I have been living in Hallandale/Hollywood area for 10 years. My first experience at Le Tub was a pretty good one, thanx to Liz... Our server was very friendly, joking around with us but still attentive... The BURGERS to die for, a nice cold brewsky excellent compliment!!! Great place to stop and eat if you're a boater cruzing the intercoastal!!! more

If you can get over the fact you are eating next to real used toilets, or the fact that the "servers" make you get your own luke warm water, this joint makes a big hamburger you can probably replicate in your back yard. We were completely insulted when the manager stepped out of his "kitchen" to tell us we could not stay if we only drank water. He forced Cokes on our bill, as if the $13 hamburgers we ordered weren't enough on this Tuesday night in which there only a half dozen other customers. the servers are great, so are the cooks, the bartenders are the bomb...been going for yrs, everytime I get to South Fl.,It's not a visit w/o Le Tub...If you're lucky enough to get a seat by the Intercoastal water way. many interesting water craft go by.... but .watch out for the seagulls..they are thieves..lol Pros: outside dining w/o pomp & ceremony Cons: gets a little warm in hot summer time!!! more

This burger was rated the best in the nation several years back by GQ... that list (available here: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2006/05/gq_20_hamburgers_you_must_eat_before_you_die.html) tried by Okrah's friend Gayle (isn't Okrah anti-beef???).\r \r It isn't the best in the nation. It does deserve a spot in the top five... make no mistake that this is a great burger and as noted below I'll still go back even though it takes forever to get one (although my servers are usually relatively friendly and the beer was cold so why not?). I think the grill is really small. Last time I was there they said it was taking longer than usual because of a kitchen fire! Right.\r \r The bottom line here is this is a hall of fame worthy burger that is a big pain to acquire. But I think the owner wants it that way... he wants people to use the Yogi-ism about how nobody goes there anymore because it's too crowded. Either way he's making a mint.\r \r Final note... BRING CASH!!! If you're ever in Hollywood Beach enjoying the nice beach there, make your way across A1A to Le Tub. You'll be greeted by self service seating & eventually a waiter or waitress will come by & warn you about the 1 hour expected wait for your food. There's nothing you can do to improve your service so just deal with it, it will be worth the wait for the one of the best, greasy, juicy burger in Florida. Well done on the outside this fat juicy burger is a bit pricy but worth it for burger lovers. Go ahead & get the fish dip for starters & enjoy the view of the intercoastal waterway as you wait for Le Best Burger! more

Waited an hour for a table. Got a table, waited 30 minutes and left. No service. Asked two servers for menus and they said someone would be with us when they could. NObody came. In fact, two others tables came and left while we waited. Rude unfriendly service. We left with the 10 bucks the table before us left as a tip. Though it was worth it since we had to bus our own table! more
