Anyone filing for bankruptcy understands the embarrassment, humiliation and even depression one goes through. For me it was years of collections calls, threats, garnishments and fear my employer would find out and fire me. I went to two other law firms for initial consultations and was told they could not help me. Then I visited the Law Offices of Michael Jay Berger and you can imagine how joyful I was when the attorney said they would accept my case. I wanted to cry but held back the tears. Michael Jay Berger's firm quickly put me at ease when I had to face the inevitable circumstances of filing Chapter 7. They showed me my options, explained the entire process step by step and quickly acted on inquires during the entire process. From the lawyers to the assistants I can only speak highly of them all. They gave me exacting specifics to the information I needed to provide and acted quickly and thoroughly on my case with that information. A representative from the firm was with me during the meeting of the creditors and when the court appointed trustee’s office had lost necessary information, MJB’s office quickly acted and resent the documentation allowing my case to be heard on time, while I waited for the trustee to hear my case. I’m glad I took other’s recommendations and used MJB’s services and didn’t put my fate in the hands of some discount billboard lawyer. I’ve been given a second chance, I finally sleep at night and my life has gained a new positive outlook and a great deal of that is thanks to this office’s services. more

My wife and I were in trouble because the recession back 2010. I lost 80% of my business and also on December 2010 I had a heart-attack. Because of that I was forced to recover at the UCLA Hospital and went through special a procedure. Finally after consulting with a different attorney we decided to go with the Law Office Of Michael Jay Berger. What a relief. I used Georgeann at MJB and have no complaints. She was assisted by Jennifer who always got back to me ASAP with any questions I had if Georgeann couldn't return the call(s) herself. Someone was always there for me. I never felt "alone" during the process. The office staff was always friendly. They have to be doing something right to keep that big Beverly Hills office up. And you don't do that by defrauding people of their money or lying to them. The fees were very reasonable. I went to Georgeann because another friend had just gone BK with then as well. He looked around to many lawyers before hand and I trusted him and was not disappointed at all with the services provided. My regret was that I waited a few months more than I should have. I had many altercations with very aggressive "crack head" process servers. They have little regard to the laws or you as a person, screaming for you at your home door and other ways to get your attention. I even called the police to my home when one server claimed to be an "officer of the law". You don't wan to mess with any of these "criminal loonies" they will harass you unmercifully! So, if your considering filing go to Georgeann and let her take the "hits" for you to relieve some of that stress. You owe it to yourself as you're already in a lot of drama. more
