THIS PLACE IS PURE EVIL! I paid $300 for the bridal package and they did everything they could to make me as hideous as possible ON MY WEDDING DAY! I booked with them because they had some good reviews but they were very deceptive. You could not pay me twice that to ever return to that hell hole! It's bad enough that the girls who work there are utterly incompetent but they were so audaciously smug about it! No one working there even knew what their bridal package provided and they kept try to charge me extra for items listed in the package. The girl who did my make-up tried to make me look like Mimi from the Drew Carry show insisting that it was the 'right' look for me despite my protests, and the girl who did my hair just turned it into a hideous tangled mess and poured a can of hairspray on it. She insisted that I should just trust her because she 'knew what she was doing'. I managed to get most of the makeup off while driving to the church, but I couldn't do anything about my hair and I had no time because they took 4hrs just for hair and make-up and they wouldn't let me come in any earlier for preparation. I had come in the day before to get my nails done, but they took 6hrs for that (3hrs of which I was just waiting between the manicure and pedicure) and used really harsh chemicals that blistered my fingers. I tried to complain but all I got was arrogant bragging about how great they were. The products they used for my hair and make-up were just plain crap too; you can buy better quality products at Walmart, and they would probably be safer too. IT WAS THE MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE! And for them to do that to me on my wedding day of all times! The worst part is when I go back now to look at my wedding pictures and I can't see the beautiful church or my handsome husband, all I see is the hideous mess they tried to make me. If I could sue lavish for emotional trauma I would put them out of business permanently because there is no amount of money that could give me back my wedding day. But for now, the best I can do is keep warning people about their horrible practices and hope no one else has to suffer as much from them as I have. more

I got my hair cut and colored at Lavish for years. I always had low-level to mid-level hairdressers cut it, but I paid a lot for their little experience. A couple of people who I really liked left, so I ended up going to several people to find decent hairdressers. I avoided getting my hair colored because it was so expensive. But the last time I did get it colored, my hairstylist left to run an errand while the color was in and it made my hair way too light. I had to get it dyed twice just to make it look right. I went somewhere else because I couldn't afford to get it done there. I ended up leaving about a year ago. I found someone else in the Clear Lake area who I like so much better. She has way more experience (20 years) and is much cheaper. I can get a cut and a color for nearly the same price that a cut at Lavish cost me.
