I came to DR Matin due to the stellar reviews on this site, however, I WISH I HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS DENTAL OFFICE!! In summer 2008 had my very front tooth break out. The tooth had to be fully extracted. It was suggested by DR Matin that due to the location of the tooth (highly visible) that I consider a dental implant. After the long process of the implant (performed by DR Blizzard), DR Matin worked with her ""Lab"" to create my new implant veneer...AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL...First, the tooth came out 2 shades darker than my normal teeth. Second, when I finally got my new veneer it FELL OFF on the way home. Third, after LESS THAN 10 HOURS the veneer got a DRASTIC CHIP. I had to wait again for ANOTHER veneer. Fourth, during a very uncomfortable procedure where they removed the existing chipped veneer they nicked the side of my other front tooth (and tried to say they didn't do it). Fifth, LESS THAN A WEEK LATER (while flossing) the veneer fell off AGAIN! I DID NOT go back to have them do another bad job. So I had the existing veneer reattached by a local dentist. No more than 6 months later...guess what...the VENEER from DR Matin HAS CHIPPED AGAIN! PLEASE NOTE: I am a totally normal person who (after spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on my teeth) DOES NOT use my teeth for un-teeth like things. I don't open beer bottles with them or bite open package. I don't even bite into apples or bagels...I cut them up into little pieces so I don't have to ""stress out"" my teeth. I take very good care of my teeth, I brush 2x a day and even floss every evening. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

and nothing more. Dr Matin and her staff are friendly, but that's all there's to it - which is why after several years I've given up and changed my dentist. As I said, it's a very friendly environment and most of the time you don't wait more than about 5 min. Oh yeah and you get a free cookie and a bottle of water if you want to while you wait. But she does have little kids so if you make an early morning appointment, you're gambling that her morning is going smoothly on schedule. Dr. Matin's filling and crown skills are just passable and whatever she does, you can bet you'll pay more than average - her office staff actually admitted to this fact that their fees are on the higher side. More than anything, you'll feel like you're there to see your HMO primary care physician - i.e. Dr Matin rushes in and spends as little time as humanly possible (esp. after cleaning, her exam lasts about 2 min) and rushes out, then later you find out for that 2 mins, your insurance was billed a ridiculous amount of money. more
