I had a chance to visit the Lappert's in Wailuku on a recent trip to Maui. I was shopping for some gifts and decided to take a break and have some ice cream. Lappert's has many of the regular ice cream flavors you'd expect, but they also have many island inspired offerings. I can't remember the name of the flavor, but there was a passionfruit ribbon in coconut ice cream with some other fruit flavor in there too. It was really tasty. Their ice cream is more on the creamy/premium side (like a rich Dreyer's). They offer cups and waffle cones (yum). They also have coffee, but it was a little warm for that. Lappert's is available in many grocery outlets, if you're not close to one of the stores.
