My second time patronizing this cleaners I brought in three shirts and three ties. One of the shirts was brand new and I just wanted it pressed. The woman working there (I think she's the owner) insisted I also get it washed since it is the same price. I acquiesced. I dropped my clothes off on a Monday. She said to return that Thursday. I came and she informed me that she had to send one shirt back because ""There was stain on collar and we send it back."" She told me to come back the next day, Friday. I was a little annoyed that she didn't call and save me the trip out but I'm a pretty forgiving person. I came the next afternoon and after checking her spinning carousel several times, she said, ""The red shirt, there was stain on collar and we send it back."" I said she'd told me that the day before and that's why I was back again. It was at this moment that I realized the stain was on the shirt I'd never worn before. I paid her, took all my other items and asked when I could get my shirt. She said to come back Tuesday (putting us 8 days out from my initial drop-off). I returned on Tuesday. After taking my name, she spun the carousel several times and then, not finding my name, asked me what the shirt looked like. I told her it was a solid red long-sleeve. She said, ""There was stain on collar and we send it back."" All the kindness drained from me. I told her, firmly, that I wanted my shirt back. I asked her where it is so I can just have it back. She called wherever they send their clothes to and they told her it was soaking and would be done the next day. I walked out without saying a word. When I returned the next day, she recognized me (at last!) and without saying a word, grabbed my shirt and handed it to me. She never offered me a refund or any compensation. She never apologized. And, after I got the shirt home, sure enough there's a stain on the collar. If you value your clothes or customer service, I suggest avoiding Lakes Tailoring and Dry Cleaning.
