David was an exceptional salesman and was more than helpful. He made the car buying experience for a 3rd time at Lakeland Dodge a wonderful experience and for that reason alone is why I keep returning to Lakeland Dodge...\r more

The check engine light came on for the 4th time because you sold me a lemon. You quickly diagnosed the problem because it extremely common for Chrysler to load up their cars with cheap defective parts and it was repaired the next day. I was given a loaner and everything went well. The service adviser- a middle aged blonde woman was very understanding and consoling. I hope the next 7 times my check engine light goes off things go as smoothly as this.\r more

Sales people very knowledgeable with no pressure tactics. I felt right at home and I knew that IF I wanted to, I would be able to leave without harassment. That is what made me comfortable enough to put my signature and endorsement towards this dealership. more

High Pressure Tactics 2/25/2012

I've done my fair amount of car shopping over the years, and so I know the high pressure tactics these salesmen and financiers can use, and I was disappointed to find out that Lakeland Chrysler Dodge used this as well. But once I found out that the same owners also own Lakeland Toyota, I knew I wasn't going to buy a car there.\r \r Honestly the finance guy was a jerk who tried to be all big and bad and show he was the head honcho in the hierarchy of that place. But honestly he just showed himself to be a pompous delta bravo. My remark to the salesman before I left was ""I'm a little smarter than your average girl"". If you think I'm going to take the first offer on the table, which was ludicrous mind you, and let you lowball me on the trade-in of my car, then you're not the smart financier that you think you are. Yeah... my car had 200,000 miles on it... but it's a Honda, and it can go WELL over 400,000. I'm not stupid, that's why I bought it initially. But now I need an SUV that's got a good price on it and is dependable, so I went looking for a Jeep Patriot.\r \r So... they lowballed me on the trade-in, saying it was just too much negative equity... and to be fair, I owed almost 10 on it, but an offer of $3500... really? Yeah um... no. But wait a minute... I could get FOUR FREE OIL CHANGES? Um... the reason I don't shop or get my car serviced at Lakeland Toyota anymore is because they are known ALL OVER THE INTERNET for doing more damage to your car than what you went in there for. And... personal history, they steal money out of your glove box. It happened to me as a teenager. A learning experience mind you, and now I take everything out of my car when I get it serviced. But if this place is affiliated with Lakeland Toyota, NO WAY am I getting it serviced there. And wow... a $100 break on oil changes... I feel special! OH, and to be even more condescending, he offered to ""Buy"" me a popcorn, even though they were giving that out free.\r \r Part of me enjoys going into dealerships and seeing how because I look young and am female, that apparently they think I'm some dumb bimbo who knows nothing about cars. I drive for a living... and I'm careful with my money. I'm not going to foolishly spend it or be taken advantage of.\r \r So I asked for some paper to write down the numbers and as the salesman started to write them down for me, he was yelled at by the finance guy. So I just pulled out my iPhone and took a photo, took that to Tom Edwards Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership in Bartow and was met with a MUCH better deal on a better version of the Patriot in a color I wanted and outstanding service with NO pressure tactics at all. OH... and 4 free oil changes ;)\r \r Honestly, I've dealt with dealerships like these in the past, and I urge you to stay away. I just wish I was good with remembering names, because then I'd tell you who to avoid here if you MUST go here. more
