A must eat in Savannah 4/10/2006

The Lady and Sons is run by the now famous Paula Deen and her two sons. The restaurant specializes in Southern style comfort food. There is always an enormous line outside of the restaurant so be sure to make a reservation. The prices seem a bit high, but after your first bite of food you will realize that it is well worth the money! Paula is often around the restaurant herself. The staff is extremely nice and dripping with Southern charm. If you're lucky, they will be passing biscuits to the people waiting in line. Be sure to try the hoe cakes for dessert! A++ all around on this restaurant. more

Paula Deen goes above and beyond! 4/9/2006

Being a part of the local community in Savannah, GA allows me the choice experience of dining at The Lady and Sons. Paula Deen is the lady behind The Lady and Sons and she also demonstrates her recipes on the Food Network. The food is typical southern comfort food that you can only come to love and enjoy by living in the south. I love the sweet potato casserole and the fried chicken is like no other. Make sure you try the famous "Hoe" cakes because the hoes are complimentary. The only downside is that the restaurant is so popular that there is always a long wait. But like the staff will tell you, it is worth the weight (wait)! more

you will feel right at home! down home cooking with a touch of style! paula deen can be seen on the food network and you can taste her cooking here! great food, great people, good prices! i have always been told you get what you pay for! and it's worth the money! more

Best Southern Food 8/17/2005

The Lady and Son's is run by Paula Deen and her 2 sons. This resturant has been around for a while, they started out in a small hotel resturant and now have a beautiful place downtown with lots of room, it seems no matter how large of a place they get it is always packed so make sure you have a reservation. The food is out of this world, wonderful down home cooking and the best buffet you could ask for. The service is very good and you are always greeted with a smile. Paula has a cooking show on the Food network and numerous cookbooks which you can purchase at the resturant. The desserts are home made and very tasty, you will want to come back here time and time again. more
