I am a dedicated fan of colonics and in my research to find a nice colonic hydrotherapist, I viewed numerous websites, talked with many people about their experiences and called quite a few places to get the expert's explanation of their methods. I have the most wonderful colonic hydrotherapist back home, but am visting OC for a couple of weeks and thought I'd try someplace out here. \r

After doing some searches online, I found La Paz Spa's website and was thrilled to read the effusive testimonials. An email I sent inquiring about the Libbe System was promptly answered and I was excited to make my appointment. I called later that evening to find out their hours and was surprised to get someone on the phone. The person I spoke with asked a few health-related questions and lastly said, ""uh, so who are you?"" It struck me as an odd way to take my information, but I gave it and hung up. \r
The next morning, I was woken up by awful cramps and my period so I quickly called the spa to postpone my appointment for a couple of days until the pain subsided. \r

Instead of a simple cancellation, I was subjected to an explanation with very personal details about period cramps not being the source of pain-that it was in fact impacted fecal matter. I am not a fan of being full of poo, which is why I made the appointment. However, I felt uncomfortable in my current state and didn't appreciate the hard sell. I was also told that she could give me a bunch of phone numbers of clients who would tell me the same so I should jump on the opportunity and schedule another colonic for the following day in addtion to the one I was originally cancelling. I politely declined saying I'd rather wait, and in response, the woman said, "" Oh I see. You're one of THOSE people who likes to hang on to their misery. Good luck."" \r
It's unfortunate since 2 other friends of mine were going to make appointments this week as well. I can't imagine why someone would drive away new clients with rudeness.
