Having lived in Manhattan for several years, I have used the service of various cleaners and laundry services. Mishaps often happen- a sock or two inevitably does not make it back with the laundry, a button is missing sometimes from the drycleaning. What I experienced at La Moll was nowhere near the usual minor problems: They lost half the clothing they picked up from my building for laundry service and then accused me of lying to them about it! I called everyday for a week and a half and they laughed at me and refused to do anything about it. Cons: Missing clothing, careless and rude service more

Lots of Problems 8/8/2005

First of all, these are new owners. The original owners were from Greece and they were terrific. The new owners actually lied when they bought the place, saying the the old owners were on vacation! Then their prices skyrocketed. When they make a mistake and say they will issue a credit, they don't do it! They also don't get stains out of anything! They're terrible. more

They RUINED my white pants! 7/4/2005

I gave them my brand new white pants and they completely ruined them - they were dark yellow all up both legs and on the bottom, as if they had been burned. They then proceeded to tell me I brought them in like that, while the condescending worker laughed at me when I demanded they pay me for the pants. These people are rude and incompetent, NEVER go there!!! Pros: NONE Cons: they ruin clothing more

Best in the area 3/13/2005

I have used the wash and fold services of a variety of places in the neighborhood and La Moll is among the best. On top of that they recently cleaned a red suede jacket I had with a food stain on the arm. I thought it might be hopeless, but they got it out no problem and charged me $10 less than another cleaner in the neighborhood quoted me. more

Best Sutton Place Dry Cleaner 9/24/2003

La Moll not only has the best prices, but cleans just as well as the "fancy" dry cleaners charging an exuberant amount of money. I dropped off my dry cleaning, including a stained suade jacket, then moved to another state and six months later called La Moll to retrieve my jacket. Not only were they able to reference it in less than ten seconds, but also mailed my dry cleaning to me with my suade jacket perfectly restored. Pros: good prices, friendly service, quality tailoring more
