wouldn't live here again. 1/27/2011

PROS -cheap rent : can get less than $1500 for 2BR -laundry + gym facilities+ pool -good amount of space -quiet (too quiet that you'll get a noise complaint just for coughing past 10pm) CONS -thinnest walls on earth : I know the whole routine for the people upstairs when they wake up -leasing office acts like your a hassle -no guest parking : you still need permit to park on the lots that surround the apt's -ants infested -horrible internet wiring : get disconnected double digits times a day -really old appliances -electric stove takes 10min to boil water -knobs on stove fall off -oven isn't as hot as said temp. -over half of the electric outlets don't work : even with configuring using fuse box, no use -don't even think about having friends over when it's dark But the kicker for me was that we keep getting noise complaints for noises that we didn't even make! (roommate was sleeping and i was using earphones last night when security guard came by twice to tell us that we've got complaints about noise) And because of that they're threatening to evict us and won't even listen to us. more

i love these apartments 9/29/2005

When I first moved to San Diego, this was my first apartment. Sure it's not as new and glamorous as pretty much all the other apartment complexes in University Town Center, but then again that was the main appeal to me. I wanted to live in a low key place close to where all the action was in UTC; you're walking distance to 4 major shopping centers and malls on all four sides, two blockbusters, two dozen or so restuarants and delis, several starbucks, 3 bookstores, 2 theaters, and a whole lot more. And, of course, another major bonus is you can find a one bedroom or studio apartment for a lot less compared to the other complexes in the same area. I love this place, and will cherish the memories forever. more

Garden community 8/13/2005

My roommate and I shared a two bedroom apartment at La Jolla International Gardens, and for the most part we had a great experience. Our apartment had two large rooms, each with their own bathroom, and spacious common living area. The leasing office personnel were friendly and helpful, and maintenance requests were always attended to quickly. A community car wash station was a handy bonus for living there. The main negative points were a very small kitchen and annoying speed bumps. more
