La Fogata is in the heart of downtown Snoqualmie across from the historic train tracks. The restaurant is rarely "hopping," but it's rare to find fewer than five parties inside.
There's nothing special about the building, it's one of the old buildings that line the main street in Snoqualmie, but the people and the food make the difference.
Start with the woman who both greets you on entry and sees you off. She has a remarkable ability to remember people and make you feel welcome. The waiters all have enough English (some more, some less) to get the job done as well as chat a bit.
The food doesn't stand out as something to drive miles and miles for, but it's definitely the best in the Snoqualmie Valley. They do well with the traditional favorites like enchiladas and chimichangas. Make sure to get a monster peach daquiri and it's all good.
