My colleague and I went there on V-day, since both of us are from Dallas and out of town for business. We wanted to experience something that was considered ""BEST OF"" in San Antonio. I was not impressed by the food and most of all, the dessert. I ordered Minestroni Soup, Cannelloni as entree, and Tiramisu for dessert. The soup was hot and flavorful. I enjoyed that. The Cannelloni was nice. However, I felt that Olive Garden Cannelloni was better. (That's pretty bad to compare this restaurant to Olive Garden, since Olive Garden is more of a chain restaurant.) The Tiramisu was such a disappointment. The cream that surrounds the lady fingers tasted like regular chocolate whipped cream instead of the mascarpone cheese. The lady fingers was very blend, not moist, and I did not taste any coffee/expresso flavor. In between the lady fingers should be layer of mascarpone cheese; however, I tasted what appears to be regular whipped cream. I only took two bites and I had to ask the waiter for the check. The restaurant decor itself appears to be outdated. Christmas lights wrapped around the columns and panels against the walls. They had live music, but more like a one man band show. (A guy playing, what appear to be like organ/keyboard instrument.) I have to agree with few people that mentioned that the restaurant isn't anything to rave about it. The food was mediocre and the atmosphere was odd. Our waiter was nice and the service was average.
Pros: Service
Cons: Parking, Music, Ambience
