Cat Lover 9/20/2010

I have been going to Dr. Byers with my cats for the past 12 years. She is an outstaning veterinarian, but what makes her so special is her empathy and the concern she shows for the animals she treats. It's truly amazing. Since I have been going to her, she has cared for my cats, starting with five and now down to one 13 year old Main Coon whom she diagnosed 6 years ago with Mega Colon. She recommeded surgery instead of putting him down and it worked. The cat (Wilson is his name) was 6 years old at the time. He is now 13 (obviously, the surgery was a success) and going strong. I attribute Wilson's long life to Dr. Byer. Thank you Dr. Byer, you are spectacular! more

I have been taking my pets to this clinic for approx 20 years. There is not enough space here to say all the wonderful things I can say about the doctors and staff. They are always there with a kind and compassionate way. I would never take my pets to any other place. Great Saturday vaccine clinic with terrific prices ! more

The BEST Vet for furry children 7/18/2010

Dr Byers and her wonderful carig staff have been caring for my 2 Pomeranian kids for the past 14 yrs. My oldest, Pashme was diagnoised with bladder cancer in Jan 09. Although the Oncologist gave him 3 months to live, thanks to Dr Byers, Pashme lived another 13 months without invasive and costly treatment. Dr Byers kept him happy, comfortable and relatively healthy for over a year and when it came time to send Pashme to heaven, her caring and compassion made a HORRIBLE experience a little easier to handle. \r Although I live 98 miles away from her clinic, I would not trust the health of my other Pomeranian to any one but her. Thank you Dr Byers, Linda, Stephanie and the rest of the staff for all you do for the animals in your care. You are the BEST!!! more

What a great vet!!! 9/18/2008

We just took our two dogs there this morning and we were very impressed from the minute we stepped in the door. The vet tech (and the rest of the staff) came up and greeted our dogs and spent time playing with them and showing them lots of affection. By the time they got into the room, both dogs were comfortable and more than willing to let their new friend take their vitals.\r \r The vets are also excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. Our vet did a thorough check-up and also answered our questions thoroughly and made some excellent suggestions.\r \r We just moved to Lake Forest and we've already found our vet. We will definitely be going back there for all of our pets' needs. I highly recommend this vet.\r \r Thanks to everyone at the clinic!!!! more

Trust These Vets 3/16/2006

I have multiple pets and they're all as precious as my human children. I have the ultimate trust in these vets and they've taken wonderful, compassionate care of all of my babies.... often beyond the call of duty. They were not the first vets I went to when I moved here 5 years ago because I overlooked their unpretentious storefront . However, their care, medical expertise and devotion to animals are truly rated world-class. If you love your pet(s), next time he/she needs vet care, just give these doctors a visit and you will see (and feel) what I'm referring to. more

For the little ones in our lives.... 11/17/2005

I love my cat. I love that I can take her to this vet's office and not worry about her. A while back, she hurt her tail, and it turned out to be a absess. They kept her all morning for surgery and they let me take her home in the afternoon. It wasn't that expensive, either. The staff seemed genuinely concerned for my little baby. more

They have great service and their Saturday discounted shots are great too! They're always happy to see you and have great attitudes. They have reasonable prices, but if you go to their Saturday discounted shots, then you're getting a bargin! more

Our veterinary team includes Melissa Byers DVM, Jennifer Self DVM, and Jason Trope DVM who all pride themselves in providing the best possible health care for the four legged members of your family. Beyond first rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and a very calm and welcoming environment so that your pet can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting his or her own Lake Forest veterinarian.
