Konditorei is an authentic Austrian bakery that is utterly charming and has wonderful pastries. You can find all the Eastern European dessert classics here, like Sacher Torte. The coffee drinks are good, and it's a wonderful place to spend a lazy Sunday morning, reading the paper and enjoying the pastries. The dining area is relatively large for a bakery, and Konditorei also has a small outdoor patio for those days when the weather is nice. Just remember that they aren't open on Mondays! more

Good Food, Great Atmosphere 9/21/2005

Konditorei is a good place to not only have a meal, but also a good place to get deserts when you go to a party or have a party. They have all sorts of deserts and pastries and are always good. They also sell coffee and have a nice sit down area. As a college student i also have come here to study every so often. It is usually pretty quite and they do not mind that you sit there and study for a while. The only bad thing is that it when you study there, you want to keep getting more food. THe prices are pretty reasonable and the Coffee and drinks prices are better then startbucks. It is a nice little bakery and should definitely be tried out! more

Awesome Austrian Bakery 9/19/2005

This place rocks my socks. My friends tell me that Konditorei is the best bakery in Northern California, and I totally agree. It may be out in the outskirts of Davis, CA (far off on 5th Street), but this awesome bakery serves the best pastries and cakes that I have ever tasted. Everything is baked fresh in the morning, so I highly recommend coming here in the morning to get breakfast. Later on in the day, food gets old, so it won't taste as good and fresh as it would in the morning time. Even though Konditorei is a bit away from mainstream downtown Davis, this place has a place of its own...in the hearts of Davis locals and visitors. I highly recommend this place for their freshness and great-tasting baked items. more

a wonderful bakery 8/16/2005

The baker at this Austrian pastry shop is from Austria, and was trained in the traditional Austrian cooking before he came to California. It shows in his baking, and you will find cakes and homemade ice cream just like you would in the streets of Vienna. The shop has a nice seating area, stop by and enjoy a cake and coffee. more
