don't blink 2/11/2012

I didn't have a chance to try the food. Lmfao performed, which was fun I don't know that the show was worth the price of an iPhone, mine was stolen. I found out thata lot of people had stuff stolen from them. One girl even had her shoes stolen from her. Watch your back an your stuff, don't even blink because that's how long it takes for it to happen. The drinks took forever to get, even before the show started. more

Breathtaking 11/24/2009

What is it that sets KOI apart from the million other places to go in Vegas? The decor is breathtaking for one, but let's not forget the drinks and food. The other day i tried Asian Pear, a new addition to their cocktail menu, that was made with pear vodka and tyku... a combination i never could have thought of myself. It was so delicious! Just another reason to go back to KOI! Pros: great view more

Best Sushi 7/6/2009

Absolutely fantastic sushi! I came here for dinner with an old friend who frequents this establishment a few times a week. He did all the ordering and my god, it was spot on. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was fantastic. The drinks here were fabulous as well. Very packed place, which is a good sign. Atmosphere was a great vibe. Pros: Sushi more

a disappointment 1/3/2009

Having dined at Koi in L.A. multiple times and their food is consistently excellent. I was expecting the same quality at the Koi Las Vegas, but the food came out cold and tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp. Pros: ambience Cons: disappointing food quality more

Koi is one of the great new spots in Las Vegas. 12/17/2008

Already a very hot spot in both LA and New York, it fits right in at The Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. A celebrity favorite, Koi is known for both its Japanese-inspired cuisine with California accents, as well as its great service, decor and attitude. This is a fun evening with great food. more

Sin City's Best Sushi! 10/24/2008

First off, I love KOI's design! The gold, the earthtones, the natural materials... It's obvious that feng shui inspired the interior layout. The strong sense of tranquility made it impossible for the biggest crowd or loudest party to disturb my dining experience. As I walked to our booth, I noticed how the seperate dining parlors flowed into each other and compliment each other. One would be private and intimate and then the next would feel open and very vital. (If you have not been, the view from the fountain lounge is worth the bill itself!) I couldn't help but let my eyes roam across the room; checking out the people, what they ordered and the many views of the Las Vegas strip. Pros: The feng shui- inspired design, the California-accented sushi, the Taste of Zen! Cons: The music WAS a little loud more

Overrated!! 9/14/2008

I went to Koi on a Thursday night with a girlfriend expecting fabulous sushi and exceptional service- neither of which we received. The hostess outside was super rude because she made us wait for a table for 15 minutes (even though we had reservations), informing us that they were cleaning up our table. Normally, we would be fine with this since nice restaurants are usually busy, esp on a Thurs. night. However, to our surprise, when the hostess walked us inside, there were about 10 empty tables. Then during dinner, we were interrupted every 5 minutes by a busboy asking if everything was ok, which was annoying and we found it inefficient that they don't have waiters assigned to an area/table. One may think the attentiveness of the staff equates to good service but NOOOO, it took 3 waitstaff to get my drink right (one to bring my drink out, another to bring a glass of ice and another to bring a straw). The food itself was ok, pretty fresh but defintely not worth the price. I receommend dining at Nobu's or Sushi Roku instead. Trust me, not worth the price or inefficientness. Pros: Not too busy- but really, is that a good sign on a Thursday night at 8 p.m.? Cons: Long wait but empty tables; expensive food for its value; mojitos taste like Benadryl more

Beautiful, Breathtaking, and Tasty 6/20/2008

Koi is such a treat. All properties, everytime. Planet Hollywood is a great casino, but KOI is the gold star of this property. Seriously it is so pretty, has a GREAT lounge area (perfect for parties). The fountain dining lounge is one of the most beautiful views in the city.. If you are in Vegas, you MUST check out this property... and when you are in LA or NY, see the others. You will not be dissapointed.. Pros: everything... design is a major plus Cons: I left too full more

Fabulous Japanese in Las Vegas 6/8/2008

We were fortunate to have been seated in an area, the fountain lounge, that offered privacy from the main seating area, an eye-catching view of the strip and the Bellagio Water Show, and comfort; take a look at the pictures on the Koi website- really, the picture doesn't do it justice. The experience really does begin from the time you're greeted to the moment you leave Koi. Koi is appealing to all of the senses. You can't help but gaze out into the fabulous view or scan the subtle details of the room itself. The service provided to us was exceptional; we truly felt taken care of. Nathan, our server, and his support staff were intuitive, talkative, humorous, kind, attentive, and, I feel, went above and beyond. For example, my friend, Carol, asked where she could find the ladies room and one of the Koi staff walked her all the way to the entrance of the ladies room. The food was unforgettable, succulent, and adventurous. I suggest the Hamachi Fusion, the Miso Bronzed Black Cod, the Grilled Skirt Steak, the Spicy Rock Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll (this one really made an impression on us), the Coconut Rice Pudding Brulee for dessert, and the Asian Pear for cocktails. I look forward to the next time I am able to dine at Koi; it is a gem within a city of many gems. Pros: Appealing to all senses, unforgettable food, excellent service, ambience, located mid-strip. Cons: The A/C was turned up too high for our preference. more

Go to Sushi Roku Instead 5/12/2008

The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and there was no attitude from any of the service staff like other reviewers posted. The loud music wasn't an issue until they started play club music with bass so heavy that it was rattling the glasses on our table. If the food was truly good you could overlook that BUT...awful. Just plain awful. All the sushi tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days. One bite of sea urchin was close to inducing a gag reflex not to mention leaving you with the worst breath possible. We tried to salvage the meal by ordering off the 'hot' menu and ended up with a very average roasted duck. We ordered a comparable sushi menu at Sushi Roku a few months back and were delighted by the quality. Save yourself the trouble and just head to Sushi Roku. Pros: Ambiance, Service staff Cons: Food more

Food and room are very good. The attitude isn't needed. 3/12/2008

I'll be brief... in short, I'd love to keep going back here for the food, but since the attitude is as high as a kite, I will frequent the other comparable sushi restaurants here in town. Their competition treats you better and remembers you and does something special for you. There are many choices here in town and what sets the top spots apart from the rest is that the good ones remember you. Sushi Roku, Nobu and even RM Seafood do an equal job with food but treat you far better. Pros: Cool room with great design and look, very good food. Cons: Attitude from staff. Over-priced, treat you like a number not a person. more

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food and flawless service 2/15/2008

Looking for a good place to eat in vegas is nearly impossible. I have been to both Koi LA and Koi NY and found them to be amazing but was a little skeptical of Vegas. However, much to my suprise, Koi pulled through. The place was GORGEOUS, the food was so fresh and the view was INCREDIBLE. I sat in the ""fountain room"" and watched the Bellagio light show, eating fantastic sushi. The staff was very nice and accomodating, making this dining experience on of my favorite. Pros: two thumbs up more

Best Sushi in town 12/17/2007

I just had dinner at KOI in Las Vegas over the weekend and it was such an amazing experience. I didn't know food could taste that good!! The creamy rock shrimp is to die for!!!! I also enjoyed the cripsy rice dish they had with spicy tuna. I ordered two of them. The service was great, everyone was always watching to make sure i had enought to drink and if i wanted to order more. I tried the house KOI sake and really liked it because it wasn't too dry. I cannot wait to try the other KOI restaurantas in Los Angeles and New York! Pros: food is like no other sushi restaurant more
