Get over the kid-friendly thing, it's an auction and its business as much as pleasure. Knudson is honest, runs a clean auction, let's you know where he is going next and will curse those who switch boxes around Pros: Dislikes kids when they are not quiet Cons: Dislikes my kids when they are not quiet more

Junk- Dumpster not auction! 3/20/2010

I got to the Auction/Moving Sale in Frankfort on 3/20 about 10:45 and all household items were wrapped in plastic on driveway because of freezing rain/snow. Thought it was going to be a ""good"" auction after reading their ad in the newspaper. Article should have read ""OLD"" furniture, ""OLD"" household junk- most of the furniture was at least 30-40 years old- sitting in an old musty garage. Had no idea who was giving out the numbers- oh, that person was sitting in the warm house. I stayed for about 10 minutes, couldn't stand outside anymore in the freezing weather while they auctioned off 2 boxes of ""OLD"" board games for a $1.00. The poor lady should have rented a dumpster instead of paying Knudson auctions. The nicest thing I saw sitting on the table was a $45 dollar chainsaw! Biggest joke of an auction I have been to in the past 10 years! Cons: Outside in snow, garbage not stuff, poor business more

Not Kid-Friendly 3/13/2010

I brought my boys with me to a sale that had a lot of camping gear, so we could equip our Boy Scout troop. We spent an hour perusing the fare, then got a number and waited for our items to be called. We joined the buyers at the back of the crowd, talking with each other about what we would do with our new gear. \r \r Suddenly, over the microphone, John demanded that the boys stop talking, or we would all have to leave. Many adults were walking the grounds, chatting amiably, but John did NOT like kids (non-customers) on site, and clearly viewed them as a distraction. \r \r At several of his auctions, I've seen him demand that parents leave the auction. For some buyers, this is a relief. For me, as the parent, I was shocked. We left with no scout supplies, and instead bought them all at Harvest House Auctions. Pros: Decent products Cons: Not personable more

Estate Auctions 10/2/2007

Operates a professional, efficient and ethical auction. Thorough and knowledgeable. Efficient and friendly. Up front and personal. Good demeanor. Tolerates no shenanigans, slights of hand, etc. This is my first message but not the first auction of his I have attended. Wish other auctioneers would follow his lead. Good items and good presentations of the items. more
