The Best Vet in NYC. is Dr. Klain & Lenox Hill Veterinarian 9/16/2010

Dr. Klain will do everything that he can to help and will treat my furry kids like they were his own!!!. and could never thank him enough!....He goes above and beyond the call of duty!!!!! and its all genuine. Ive taken both my dogs Lady 9 and Hoover 12 to Lenox Hill as well as my 5 cats!..I would not trust my furry babies to anyone else ever! If you need a vet in NYC do not think twice.... I BEYOND RECOMMEND Lenox Hill... This is the place to go, if you really want to get the proper care. Doris at the desk is the warmest most helpful greeting you'll get anywhere. I love her. All of the doctors there CARE about the animals and are so informative and most of all have patience to explain everything and deal with a parent in distress..ehhm like me!.. I have sent everyone I know.. and they have said the same thing... Ive lived here in NYC all my life and had pets for most of it.. and never found anyone so Sincere in caring for my animals as Dr. Klain!...I live in Queens now and travel to Manhattan with my kids..and dont think twice, because I know they will be taken care of. When Dr Klain has not been there and I have had emergencies Ive actually been nervous about someone else taking care of my kids.. and through the years I have met Dr Mccullen who operated on my cat L. Lou cat, Dr Pigman who took care of my cat Lumpy over one weekend and Dr Putter who took care of Hoover over another weekend... and they care just as much!....Its amazing how great a staff of people have all ended up in the same place! I can go on forever with ONLY WORDS OF PRAISE!. more

Best Vet ever!! 2/4/2010

We have a 10 year old cat, and recently got a kitten. We came home to find our cat with a red, irritated eye and thought the kitten might have scratched him. Since our cat is a scaredy cat and impossible to put in a carrier we were fretting over how to get him to the vet. When I realized that the vet we bring our kitten to makes HOUSE CALLS!!! I thought that house calls were a thing of the past! But Dr. Putter (the best!) and a tech were there in a flash and able to help our cat! Pros: wonderful pet lovers! Cons: none more

Great in an emergency 10/5/2009

On Friday night at 7pm my dog's condition went from uncomfortable to emergency in the space of one hour. I called several vets who were unable/unwilling to see her at that last hour. I got to Lenox Hill Vets and explained the situation and they simply said "bring her". In we went and indeed she had to be hospitalised as she was so ill. But, Dr. Putter and his staff were not only wonderful with her they were wonderful with me. Two days later she came home is on the mend. I have had two follow up calls from Lenox Hill "just checking". I do not hesitate to highly recommend them. Pros: People sooooo wonderful Cons: general NYC costs are high more

I happily Take My Dog Here... 8/10/2009

I have been taking my dog here for two years now. During that time, he has had his share of stomach troubles and eye infections, and he always receives great care and treatment from the doctor. When I take him for his annual exam with Dr. Klein, the vet has me come back again for a second appointment (free of charge) because he doesn't like to give the dog too many shots/vaccinations at one time. Overall I am really happy with all of vets I have seen here and I would recommend Lenox Hill Vets to anyone. Pros: Friendly and professional doctors and staff more

Horrible 6/10/2009

Best vet's ever!!! 8/19/2008

Our turtle got hurt by our dog. So we took her to Lennox hill and they took super good care of her. They also gave me tips on how to take care of her. They are the best vets I have ever been to. I totaly would tell my friends and family about it and to take there animals there. Pros: Very attentive!!! Very loving of all animals. Not super expensive. And will talk to you over the phone about problems and concerns you may have. Cons: Parking (but its close the the train-take the train) more

Very attentive vets! 1/31/2008

I took my very sick cat here, after speaking with a few emergency vets over the weekend, who all told me my cat would be fine. I brought him into Lenox hill and immediately they rushed him downstairs and saved his life - they told me 1 more hour and he would have been dead. They kept me updated all week, as he made a miraculous recovery and was returned to me better than ever! This vet is a wonderful place, and I've had nothing but great experiences...a little on the pricey side, but if your animal is as important to you as mine is, it's worth it! Pros: Very Friendly, knowledgeable doctors, great office staff, clean facility, caring techs Cons: pricey, peak hours sometimes difficult to get last minute appointment more

This facility is the best, and this doctor is my favorite...too bad I moved from the area. She has treated my cat with the utmost care & professionalism. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Pros: friendly, professional, caring, gentle more

I am sad that I left the area b/c Lenox Hill Veterinarians is THE BEST. I have never been to a better vet. The office itself is clean, the staff is great, and the service is by far the best ever. They really listen to the pet owner and are extremely gentle & careful with animals. The best sign of true caring is when they call out your pet by their given name plus your last name. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Pros: DOCTORS, OFFICE STAFF, FRIENDLY SERVICE, CARING Cons: none whatsoever more

Wonderful veterinarian 6/21/2006

On our first visit here we brought our very sick golden retriever in for emergency help. Dr. Putter was caring and concerned and made us feel that she was in the very best of hands. Everyone we spoke to from our initial call to the vet's assistants were kind. Thanks to them and their quick action, we still have her with us and for that we are eternally grateful. Jennifer Anderson Pros: Excellent care more

GREAT HOSPITAL, wish they treated people. 3/30/2006

Remarkeable place. Kind, compassionate, truly sincere and caring doctors and staff. Everybody bent over backwards to take care of Sammy. He was so ill and we thought this was going to be it but once again (2nd time) they worked a miracle. Thank You Dr. Putter. Pros: great staff., knowledgeable, committed Doctors more

Saved my Dog's Life!!!! 10/5/2005

What's with the negative reviews by anonymous people???? It's like grafiti outside on the street. Sounds like bitter apples. I'm proud to say that the Doctors are all very knowledgeable at Lenox Hill Veterinarians. They saved tyson my boxer. Excellent hospital. Friendly, courteous, efficient staff. Very responsive to our needs. I've been to other vets. Kept hearing good things about this hospital and when we were disappointed with care given at another Manhattan hospital (which I won't name) we were referred here. They were warm, caring, concerned and immediately took care of Tyson. I'm forever grateful and glad that in such a city I can still find that kind of service. I can't stress enough how happy we are to have them take care of Tyson. Thank You Dr McLellan, Dr Pigman (who by the way has a Boxer) and Dr Putter. You are all so excellent. Jason McDougle. Pros: great service, Nice hospital, Love the staff more

Great doctors and staff 9/22/2005

My dog was on deaths door. After having been to several other vet clinics I was referred to Lenox Hill Veterinarians. Great staff, warm and friendly and professional. The Doctors are caring and knowledgeable. They saved his life and we are both in their debt. I so recommend this hospital. Mark Pros: great staff, good location, nice hospital Cons: not inexpensive more

Terrible 9/19/2005

The vet that I went to see was absolutely terrible. He did nothing but try to make me feel stupid, refuse to listen a word I had to say and then misdiagnosed my dog. Upon taking her to another vet, after using up the medicine he gave me and seeing no signs of improvement in the dog, my pup was diagnosed as I and several other people expected, given proper medication and has shown signs of improvement in a few days. Pros: Pleasant receptionist Cons: Veterinarians, Business, Customer Service more

Excellent clinic 9/3/2005

I just want to say thank you for goog people who are working in Lenox Hills Vets. All personal and our doctor L. Putter made our visit absolutely painless and answered all our questions. I can recommend everybody who wants a good care for his pet to come there. Thank you very much, Dr. Maxim A. Moroz more

Awful 3/22/2005

My little pug Otis-Ray loves Dr. Pigman. She is compassionate and gentle. For routine care or an emergency - Dr. Pigman is just wonderful. The Lenox Hill Vet staff is great, too! Pros: Timely, Gentle, Caring Cons: High Priced more

Great Vet 12/1/2002

I took my cat here and having just moved to the city, I was nervous to try a new vet. I was very pleased with the vet who looked at my cat and everyone was very nice and professional. I will definitely be bringing my cat back here and I know he will be in good hands. Pros: clean, nice, professional more
