RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE rude i called to try to purchase an oven the operator would not let me speak to a salesperson they were always busy she said they had several models starting at 400 then she later said they start at 300 i asked for a particular one and explained i had to drive from panama city to buy and i wanted an accurate price she said she would have a salesperson call and they never did so i called back 2 hrs later she said again all the sales people were busy then put me on hold and never came back they stink and i will tell everyone i know they stink more

I purchased a living room suit, stainless steele "Frigidaire professional series" frig, oven, and microwave. All of these appliances cost double everywhere else. So far I haven't had any problems and I didn't encounter the rude service I have read about.However, the old lady in the box does need to greet customers better. I traveled 2 hours to give them my business. My only advice is "know what you want and how much it is at other stores to compare." I would refer other people to do business with King's! First let me say we are on a budget just like every one else. We purchased a 3 piece living room suite from King's in Dothan in December 2008. By April 2009, the PLASTIC leg on the sofa broke, the sofa is sooooooo worn already you sink down into it and have to climb out. Needless to say, I have now gone and purchased another living room suite from a REAL furniture company. These people will not work with you and are not concerned about their cheap, crappy products. Stay Away. I will never go back to King's Furniture in Dothan. I ended up giving their furniture away to a needy family. But of course I apologized in advance, for the shape it was in and we replaced the plastic leg. more

We bought a washer and dryer there several years ago. They were very reluctant, kept trying to sell us other things, saying that ours were in the warehouse. We ended up waiting them out, staying maybe thirty minutes after they closed, before we finally got them. The washer and dryer were great and we had no problems with them.\r \r We've been there since and couldn't get waited on once we said we wanted to look through the store first. We were actually there to make multiple purchases, possibly living room furniture, possibly kitchen, possibly laundry...since we were remodeling and had money in pocket.\r \r I dread going back there, but our washer and dryer both broke down and I need something now, but am too broke for much else. more

My husband and I went to Kings to check out prices for a new stove for a home we are purchasing. We told the sales person we were price shopping and would need the stove on April 24Th when she found out we were not going to make the purchase that day she no longer wanted to help us and told the other associates not to bother with us. So we will never go back there again as we were shun by all. more

We have got a dishwasher, stove, freezer, refrigerator all at King's. I did my homework first and knew what I wanted. I didn't buy what they wanted me too I stuck to my list. (Model name brand etc.) I only bought the items in their own box that never been open. In every box there is paperwork from the company who makes the appliances and they stand behind the product. Make sure you get the new stuff in their box! The women who owns the place takes your money is very rude...she need to come down to the floor and put someone else in that box. If you are going to be the last thing your customer see be NICE and say THANK YOU! more

My husband and I went there because we saw an add for a good price on a dryer we liked. When we went to move it to look at the hook ups on the back, it was amazingly light. Come to find out, there was no motor in it! They wanted to put one in it and us still buy it! Needless to say, we went elsewhere! However, we have found good twin size mattresses for our kids beds that are really comfortable and have lasted quite a few years. So lesson is.... if you go there, check the items out carefully, and be choosy at what you get from there. Would I buy anything Electronic or electrical from there..NO way.... I would also have to agree with some of the other posters as to the workers attitudes... very unfriendly... almost like you are a bother to them. more

I have worked in the customer service business most of my adult life & I have to say that King's has by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered! They are unfriendly, unenthusiastic, & snobby. They may have the lowest prices around but I would rather pay the extra bucks just to get the customer service! more

These people need to be in the nut house. This place is a scam. I and my wife drove over an hour to this place in Dothan al. when we found what we were looking for. It was a washer and dryer for 269 and 249. the dryer has been there so long the tape on to of the washer that was holding on the price hade turned a different color an the dust under it where no one swept you could see that it had been there for a long time. The old man that owned the place said he could not sell them to me because they just came in a he didn?t know if they worked. . Then why the hell would you have a sign on them trying to sell them. He just said he had a good deal on another one for 700.00 a piece. These people lie an look like something out of the movie one flue over the coco's nest. GO TO LOWE'S ... THESE PEOPLE ARE A JOKE.... more

We have made a few purchases from Kings and on each occasion we have realized huge savings over what we would have spent had we purchased similar products in our hometown. We had approximately an hour drive to reach Kings, but it was well worth the drive. I would / have recommended them to others. We anticipate making additional purchases from Kings in the near future. Service was awful and they will quoted different prices on the same products. I kept asking him about a certain refrigerator and he kept trying to sell me one that someone cancelled from their layaway. He was rude and when my husband went to go find someone else to help....he told the other associate not to help us because we couldn't make up our minds. That's the craziest thing I have ever heard...I'm not buying a bag of chips, I am purchasing a major appliance. more

A week ago my husband and I visited King's Appliances. Although things seemed somewhat off with the "Wizard of Oz"-esk teller and 1947 washers sitting around we bought a washer and dryer. Since we couldn't fit the units in our car we needed to use their recommended delivery company, AMPO Delivery. We should have known what was coming after we read the disclaimer at the bottom of the purchase slip that released responsibility once the item(s) left the store. None the less we used their company. On the back of our washer was a large, bright yellow tag that said to remove the shipping bolts. I thought that they would have notices that on "installation" but in fact did not. I only found out about it after trying to determine why the washer was walking across the laundry room. In addition to this the electrical cord wasn't removed from the "P clamp", the water hoses were hooked up backwards, the dryer exhaust wasn't attached, and the pedestals weren't bracketed to the machines. I bought a living room suite from them less than a year ago and it included a couch, love seat, and recliner. The recliner messed up and I returned it to get it fixed. It has been 2 1/2 months since I have seen my recliner and I keep getting told that it is not on the truck and that's why I don't have it back. I would suggest for everyone to go somewhere where you can rely on people to actually help you and not give you the run around when a piece of furniture messes up. more

This place has great deals on appliances and furniture. We bought a washer and dryer from them over four years ago and we are still using them. The prices are also reasonably priced and great service. more
