Kin Khao has long passed its saturation point and has settled comfortably into its status as a consistently rewarding Thai restaurant in Soho. While their accompanying store one block up is gone, they still offer the phenomenal Pad Thai that made it so famous. (The store used to sell a make-your-own Pad Thai kit, it was that good.) In addition, appetizers like the chicken satay and other entrées that satisfy both carnivores and vegetarians lend reason to why consistently good food never goes out of fashion.
There will be an occasional wait for tables, but the place is overall is a fun spot to sit with a small group of friends. It also works for a first date, with all the bars to hit nearby for after the meal. To that effect, the ginger martini is definitely worth trying to get the night started.
