Great food and service 6/19/2011

I went there with my girlfriend, we ordered a good selection of Mezza and we each had mains. The mezza was amazing and fulfilling. I had the farooj (baked natural chicken) good price for a main as it came with baked potatos and carrots and free fresh baked bread, they bake the bread in front of you..ooh, so amazing. I asked for garlic sauce 3 times because it was so lovely at Khoury's. It was my girlfriends birthday so i asked the manager if he can organize something for me and offered free dessert with a candle on it. I would definatly recommend Khoury's trust me i have been to many restaurants and i know. more

Two bad experiences, won't go back 12/14/2009

This place came highly recommended and I am greatly disappointed in the service and overall experience. Visit #1 the oven was not working and half the menu was unavailable. What kind of restaurant stays open and tries to charge full price when the oven is isn't working? Visit #2 I returned at the request of my family with my wife and brother in law, this time on a Saturday night. When we walked in, 3/4 of the restaurant was filled with a large party. A part of the restaurant that normally holds 3 tables was packed with 6 tables next to the door. A small two person table had a third seat pushed up to it and we were offered that table. We asked for the four seat table and were told we couldn't save it as they were saving it for a party of four. Just close the restaurant if you are going to book a party that takes up the whole restaurant. There are plenty of other solid Middle Eastern places in town--Hedary's, Opa, etc--go there and don't waste your time on the service of this place. It seems like the rest of Las Vegas is getting the message as well when the place is empty on a Saturday night except for a pre booked party.... Cons: Poor service more

Very Good Place 3/29/2009

I have read some of the reviews and maybe the restaurant had a bad day but the time I went there with my family, the food was great and so was our service. Only thing I could find wrong was the location. From where I live it is a 20 minute drive to get there. I will make the drive again just to eat there. Pros: Food and service Cons: Location more

Fantastic Food.... Warm Freindly Service! 1/22/2009

I love this place. It's a great family restaurant or romantic couples place as well. My husband loves the specialty cocktails. The ""Farooj"" chicken dish is my fav! Actually we love ALL the food. We have never ordered anything we were disappointed with. The salads are out of this world. The food is very fresh and authentic Lebanese. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. They have a private party lounge which I adore! I had my baby shower there and the service was exceptional. The terrace is also a charming spot to dine when the weather permits. House made sangria and freshly baked pita bread with hummus ...ummm. more

Mother's Day Disaster - Reviewed by a Lebanese Mom 6/1/2008

Since I?m Lebanese, my family treated me to Khoury's for Mother's Day and even though its been a couple of weeks, I could not let this go without comment. Eight of us arrived to a lukewarm greeting - not typical for Middle Eastern hospitality. Our waiter, Antoine was arrogant and carrying an unmistakable attitude. He took our order for a House Mezza ($25) to start. There were two or three teaspoons of food served in each little dish. When our entrees arrived, we had to stack up all the little dirty dishes ourselves to make our own room for the main course. We finally requested he remove the dishes and received a blatant eye roll in response as he complied. As for the food, the meat combination was overdone; the veggie pizza would have been much better if it hadn't been so dry. The dressing on my husband's Fatoosh salad was so intense, he was unable to eat it. Swarma plate was just ok. Also, the Turkish coffee had to be sent back as it was not brewed properly and was mud. When Antoine brought the bill to my husband, our entire party felt like we had intruded on the help. Obviously, the owner/mgmt has not trained their personnel on how to make their guests feel welcome and help provide them with a pleasurable dining experience. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Cons: Terrible Service. Period more

yum 4/29/2008

Food is always good there , pita hot from the oven, crisp fresh salads , and good sized portions. Owners are usually on site keeping an eye on things. Try the fresh juices , especially watermelon ..delicious. The wine list is also pretty good and they serve Peroni , a big plus. Pros: Fresh and delicious, authentic Cons: closed one day a week more

AWFULL 4/12/2008

Joining the long list of sub-par neighborhood eateries in southwest vegas is this ridiculous excuse for a restaurant. The food was so poorly executed on so many levels that I find it quite shocking that it received the positive reviews it did. Kitchens have bad days once in a while but not like this. We started with the Cucumber Yogurt Salad (a watery tasteless mess) and a Greek Salad which featured olives that were clearly off and practically nauseating. Then we had the spicy sausage appetizer which was so bland that it couldn't cover the gamey taste of the old meat used to make it. It was also overcooked and dry making it our second inedible dish. Then came the main courses...beef kabob was ok but was sitting on a bed of soggy watery rice...The shrimp on the kabob were undercooked, not properly devained and again inedible. Even their featured homemade pita bread was barely competitive with what we get from the grocery store. Pros: Descent outdoor sitting area. Cons: Inedible food more

Visit if you are in the neighborhood 10/1/2007

The restaurant is the Las Vegas Review Journal staff?s pick as the best Mediterranean restaurant. It is a neighborhood type of restaurant, but the immediate area is currently under development. We were served homemade pita with a delicious dipping sauce. We each ordered the lamb shish kabob which came with rice and vegetables. Everything was good, but nothing stood out. more
