I became aquainted with Ironwood Cancer & Research Center after cancer surgery. I was referred there for post surgical evaluation and treatment. I was quite apprehensive about what all would be involved. This was my first time having cancer and I was pretty nervous about the whole thing. When I met Dr Kellogg I was immediately put at ease. He assurred me that my care and treatment were of the highest priority and that Ironwood would help me through every step of my evaluation and treatmemt. He determined that my best course of post surgical treatment was chemotherapy. I had never heard a good story about chemo treatments. My first treatment was actually a comfortable experience. The nursing staff is extremely professional and patient oriented. Their primary concern is for their patient's comfort both physically and mentally. They took extra time to explain the entire process that would be part of my life for the next sixteen weeks. All of my questions were answered and my fears adderssed in a straightforward and honest manner. Their experience with a variety of patient's individual situations gives them a tremendous insight into what each patient can reasonably expect during chemo. While not really looking forward to going to chemo sessions, I was comfortable knowing I was going to an environment where I would be cared for. This caring spirit is found throughout the entire Ironwood staff. The people are great. The attitude is always positive. The support is reassurring and constant. I am extremely thankful to everyone at Ironwood for the care and compassion I was shown during my chemotherapy treatment. I continue to anticipate saying hello to the staff when I return for check-ups. more

I recently had to take my 89 year old Mother to see Dr. Khanuja as her primary care doctor was concerned about a possibility of cancer. I spend a lot of time at the doctor with my mother and she HATES to wait. We have been there twice and did not wait either time. That is incredible!! Dr. Khanuja treats me and my mother like friends he hasn't seen in a long time. He was very patient, explained all aspects of her condition, and answered all of our questions. He is a very caring man. The staff is always cheery and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Khanuja. more

Dr. Bhalla and Dr. Olyejar are my doctors and they are fantastic. Dr. Bhalla is an exceptional physician and is very positive. When I meet with Dr. Olyejar it is like sitting down to have a chat with a friend in my living room. He sits down and gives me his complete attention - and you just don't see that anymore with doctors. The key thing that impresses me is that they have great respect for people's time. When I go for radiation treatments they see me on time and the techs are tremendous. Everyone is upbeat from the front desk - on back and it really is critical to patients like me that are facing a difficult diagnosis. My wife and I are incredibly impressed and pleased with Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers. more
