Saved Money 1/10/2013

I adopted a bird from a friend of mine. I did not know a lot about birds, but I thought it needed its beak cut back and his nails done. I called to find out if the hospital accepted birds as patients. I found out they did and made an appointment to bring in my conure parrot. I brought the bird in to the vet and he was very honest with me and let me know he did not need his beak cut back or his nails done because they were exactly the way they should be. I paid for an office visit but I did not have to pay for something that did not need done. It is not that often when someone will be that honest. They could have taken my money but instead told me the truth. I will always bring my bird back here. more

Wonderful Staff 1/10/2013

I have been bringing my animals here for the past eight years. They are always able to set my animals up for an appointment that is not weeks and weeks away. If I have had any questions, I feel free to call and ask. If the staff can answer the question over the phone, they will or they will make me an appointment to bring in one of my four dogs. Dr. Johnson is a wonderful vet who will explain what needs to be done to keep my pets in good health. All of the staff in the entire office is helpful. I have also boarded my dogs for days at a time and they always have a good time staying. They do not lose weight when there compared to some places we have boarded them. Overall I love the Keystone Pet Hospital staff for all they do to keep our babies in good health. more

Super Prices 1/10/2013

I called the Keystone Pet Hospital to find out about how much shots for my two cats would be. They were significantly cheaper than the vet I was going to before. I found out I would save even more by bringing them in for a clinic day on Wednesday. I am glad there are still companies out there that are not trying to gouge you. With the economy the way it is, this savings has helped my family. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would recommend any of my friends with animals to go to the Keystone Pet Hospital. more

Saved Our Dog's Life 12/7/2012

We had taken our dog to this vet once. That visit was for routine checkup and shots. We were tired of paying huge bills to other vets, and this place was recommended as reasonably priced.\r The building is older and the interior is simple, but I didn't really care. I want my money to go for care, not overhead! The receptionist and vet tech were very kind and friendly. The dr. was direct and no nonsense, I was told pretty directly that my dog needed to lose weight. But, he really did, so the recommendation was right on the money. \r A year later our 12 year old dog seemed to get drastically ill very quickly. I called and made an appt. for the first day I wasn't working- 2 days out. Later the same day it was clear he was pretty sick. I called back and was able to talk to the vet and describe the problems our dog was having. The vet said I neeed to bring him in sooner than the appt. We took him in the next morning and left him there for the day for the vet to examine. The offi more

Very Nasty, Rude, Dirty DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED PETS HERE. 8/3/2012

HONESTLY I DON'T EVEN SEE HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!!\r \r My children have a pet rat named Oreo, he developed a lump on his back leg so we took his to Kestone Pet Hospital. When entering the woman at the front desk was very nasty puckering her face up when she seen that it was a rat that was in the cage we were holding. She said she had been there for a long time and didnt know that the doctor seen pet rats and to make sure we kept him in the case so he wouldn't get loose. We filled out paper work and was called back in about 10 mins. They sit us in a the room and said the doctor would be in shortly. The doors were still open and we heard the workers and the doctors laughing and they said its a rat, one said ewwww nasty then I heard the doctor say I'll fix it put the nasty thing to sleep, then they all started laughing. Wonderful vet & staff! 5/5/2012

We have been going to this vet clinic for several years, and are VERY happy with the staff, Dr. Johnson & his surgeries that we have never had a post op infection from! Kathy, does the BEST dentals! And the clinic is always VERY clean!\r The staff have always been, professional yet friendly and caring for their patients :). \r We have been very happy with the care of our dogs here ! more

Dr kill 4/1/2012

I took my cat there in August 2011 and saw the Dr he treated me like I was the reason the cat was sick. she was very old and very small. He said she was severely dehydrated and malnourished. I got special food that she could eat and an IV bag of fluid that my husband & I had to give her between the shoulder blades. She also was losing hair. I felt like he was just treating the superficial symptoms instead of taking the time to try and holistically treat her. she died a week later. The Dr's bedside manner was terrible and even though the prices were incredibly cheap I don't want to take our other cats there ever. more

28 Years and Still Have Not One Complaint! 2/15/2012

My parents took my childhood dogs to this Vet. and I felt if they had no complaints then something they do must be good since my Mother was the hardest woman to please! I have had dogs as large as Bull Mastiff and small as a Chihuahua and all of my dogs got the greatest care. They treated me and the animals with love and me with respect! They have never let me leave their office having a question unanswered. They have always explained the procedures they felt that the animal should have and told me what would happen if it was not done. This Animal Hospital is not full of glamorous furniture or expensive pictures and fancy things, but it is clean and comfortable and the staff are all friendly and helpful! I would recommend this facility to everyone who wants the very best for their family pet if they love and treat their pet like I do as a family member! And the one thing I figured out over the years is I am exactly like my Mother and proud of it! more

THE ONLY PET CARE FACILITY FOR ME! 1/24/2012

I have been taking my dogs to the Keystone Pet Hospital for more than a decade. So, they don't have fancy carpets and larger than life portraits of designer animals on their walls--so what? (There are a few killer cartoons, though, and a poster board filled with pictures of years worth of furry friends.) The doctor is superb and places the same demands on you that you would place on him. Take care of your pets. Get their shots on time. Don't let them get fat (he hates that!). They must have heartworm prevention. Then, when it comes time for him to treat them, he is no-nonsense but always gentle and kind to the animals. Most of the staff has been there since I've been coming, which is a very good sign. You can afford this place. You can place your pets in the hands of Dr. Johnson. Took my dog there this morning. She was glad to see everybody! more

THEY WILL KILL YOUR PET 3/18/2011

I am okay with the ""no frills""... BUT not horrible vet care. Brough my very sick dog there. Should have ran when they brough out a fluid bag that was extreemly dirty. They ended up so miss diagnosing my dogs condition that he died at the Emergency Vet the next day. I called to let them know that he died. The vet ended up calling me back and then ended up hanging up on me! I have spoken with SEVERAL vets and all of them are shocked at the lack that was done when I first brought my dog in. Not to say that he still would have survived, but when the emergency vet and nurses ask you 5 or 6 times ""really, you were at the vet yesterday and they did not get x-rays?"" more

This is a wonderful clinic if you're looking for a trustworthy, smart, no-nonsense Vet and a sympathetic, understanding staff. My family recently adopted a stray Shih-Tzu-Terrier mix. With the help of Dr. Johnson and his staff, Teddy has blossomed from a flea-infested stray to a healthy, neutered, pampered pooch!
