staff always helpful and knowledgeable, I've joined a couple times. I've seen ladies classes there. I've shot Trap in the past with my kids. I still shoot bow in the nice weather....

Because this is the only outdoors range near me I decided to go there and break in my new Daniel defense, big mistake. When I went to the front desk I was informed I could only ha...

Great 1st time experence at Kenmore! 6/15/2009

My 1st experience…was a Great range experience! As an Armor for my PD, I built a friend a rifle and we went to sight it in. I was leery to go to Kenmore due to comments made on this forum, but we went anyway. I have 27 years professional experience shooting at ranges all over the world, thanks to Uncle Sam and law enforcement. From the time I approached the office to the time we got started, this range felt like home, a familiar & professional range. The range master was a retired LVPD officer and did an outstanding job in running the range. I always worry about a rangemaster that allows knuckleheads show up with their arsenal who complains about being told what to do, who don’t control their muzzle they laser everyone on the line, have negligent discharges, and don’t listen to the simple safety rules. I did not see any of this at this range. Everyone complied, and the few minor infractions that occurred (Muzzle Flags), the range master quickly took care of it in a friendly and professional way. Even the regulars would keep each other in check not to enter the “Red” zone when at cease fire mode. I saw new shooters, who were not as familiar with their rifle as they should be, but they followed the rules and the range master ensured the safety of all without the attitude, I suspect those new shooters will quickly grow into seasoned shooters under this type of atmosphere. I didn’t like loading one shell at a time in my AR, but I fully understand the reason and it didn’t affect how we zeroed the rifle. I am glad to give up that inconvenience to ensure someone with no experience comes in and changes the safety rhythm of the range. To be honest, this was my first trip to the range and their may be some individual with the typical range ego running the line, but I did not see that when I was their, nor did I get the impression that was even typical based on the positive attitudes of the shooters in the parking lot going to various ranges. Great range experience and I will be back. more

Nuisance 4/11/2009

This place is a complete nuisance. To all those you make fun of the people who complain about the noise, can I come by your house and start shooting guns? My house was here way before Kenmore Gun Range was. They are a nuisance that needs to be removed. They drive down the value of the neighborhood with their ridiculous shooting all day long. Give it a break will ya? more

Phone call result 4/5/2009

Just called to inquire about all the negative reviews. I can't say that they convinced me at all that they have an ounce of patience if you mess up at all. In the words of the person on the phone "People are handling guns and it's a matter of life and death. If someone is doing something they shouldn't then our guys (I like this part) JUMP ON THEM RIGHT AWAY!" Okay, no thanks... more

Bad experiences usually have a cause 3/13/2009

I been my experiece at Kenmore Range that bad experience are generally the result of bad approach. I am the current President of the club and have followed up on may complaints over the years. Some are accurate by most are the result of aggress customers that don't get their way or don't listen to what they are told. The Club has over 2,000 members that believe it is a nice and safe place to shoot. Carl Brattain, President more

Nice facility, too much attitude 1/27/2009

Brought a couple teens there the other day to get in a little pistol shooting. Turns out the public PISTOL range is only open on the weekend. That's ok, but instead of just saying so the guy rudely pointed at a collection of ragged notices on the wall...one of which gave the range hours, but there were so many notices it was hard to find. I had to pry out of him what the problem was. Fortunately I took the boys over to Sam's where we did some shooting...but none of us were impressed with Kenmore. Catch a clue, Kenmore people. Stop looking down on those of us who aren't "in the know" or you'll wake up one day wondering what happened to your membership. This is my second sub-par experience there. I hope they can improve in this area as the facility is pretty nice, and conveniently located. more

Worst gun range in the state! 10/20/2008

This is the worst gun range I have ever been to. I called and the guy said that they would be open for the rifle range until 7pm. I showed up at 5:55pm and the guy shut the window right in front of me and put the closed sign up . He looked at me and said "what do you want?" I said I called and you were gonna be open until 7 pm. He said " sorry cant help you, Come back tomorrow". I came back a week later to give them another chance but it was even worse than the 1st time. You can't use your own targets at al more

It,s really hard to tell how good the club is. The people were unfriendly and acted like they like you were intruding on their turf! more

Worst range experience ever! 7/8/2008

I usually shoot at the Isaquah Sportsman range but thought I'd give Kenmore a try, BIG mistake! I first went to the rifle range and set up to sight in my FAL after installing a EOTECH sight on it. I couldn't have gotten any dirtier looks than if I craped on someone's shooting bench! I was firing one round every 40 seconds or so and these guys went balistic on me for everything from "rapid firing", "wasting ammo" to global warming.............. These guys were there with bolt action rifles and they would take a shot then strip down the gun and clean it after each shot! No wonder they considered my 40 second shots rapid fire! Got sighted in and then off the the pistol range to punch some holes in the air with my Kimber .45. I fire of the first mag at about five seconds between shots and the rangemaster comes flying out of his dog house wearing his super spiffy shooting glasses with all sorts of shades, side shield blinders, adjustable dioptes and a playing card held on with a clothes pin for the full effect. He proceeds to tell me I'll never learn to shoot that way and went into a 20 minute lecture on how I should stand, grip, etc. I told him that I shoot for defense and his excellent Olympic style of shooting was not for me. He then gets all red in the face and starts sputtering on about I better not hit any of his wooden target frames or he'll throw me off the range so I pointed out to him that all my shots were either in the 9 or 10 ring and he didn't have to worry about his frames. He proceeded to stand at the next station and loudly critique every shot I took so just to bug him I'd put a few into the dirt in front of the target and ask him where the shot went. If you want to have a good time shooting at a range then go to the Issaquah range, it's $10 for non members, very friendly people and has a great range mistress! I can't wait until the city officialy turns the Kenmore range into a cemetery, it's just about there now................. Ben M. more

Not very happy with this gun range and wont be going back! 8/12/2005

I wanted to try the Kenmore range one day as it was closer to where i was staying than the Issaquah sportsman club Boy was i in for a surprise. This range charges a bit much to shoot just one area of their range. I cant remember completely but i think it might have been 8 to 12 dollars for one of us to shoot. The range was dugout into a pit type shape, and the targets were at varying distances so that was pretty nice. There was a rule in effect that said you could only have 1 bullet in the magazine of your semi auto rifle, Which means i would have to take out the mag and put a new bullet in each time. This was really a pain in the rear.. I guess this range is more geared towards bolt action or black powder rifles. I had taken my AKM to shoot at the range (an akm is an ak47 type rifle but not Russian made), and my brother had jammed the magazine in the rifle, the range master at the time was courteous enough to try to help get it out but all the while telling me how he didn't like 'these rifles' as they were cheap and other explicit insults I'm not allowed to say here.. Thats fine that he has an opinion but i wont be going back as he decided to insult my rifle so much.. There was a few good things tho, they did sell ammo even tho its an outdoor range, and took credit cards, tho their prices aren't the greatest.. if you want to shoot handguns in addition to rifles you have to go to another section of the shooting range and pay for that as well... I much prefer the Issaquah shooting range. This range was outdoor.. but just not worth the hassle in my opinion. more
