New Car Tires 3/15/2014

First of all I doubt that anyone reads these. I was very diisappointied in the service dept on my last visit. I inquired about the fact .that my two front tires were so different from the two rear as far as tire wear. My mechanic up hear said that the tires had never been rotated yet they were rotated back around the 8000 mile mark by your service dept. I then asked if anything could be dome about the loud road noise and was told they could do that so I returned to Keffer and they fixed the road noise. Apparently rotating the tires back the way they were originally. I have discussed this with several tire dealers in the Mooresville area and they say the only way that road noise could be eliminated is to rotate the tires back to the original location on the car. I therefore believe that the tires were never rotated until they were rotated with 13000 miles on the car. I am now faced with the task of buying new tires befor I even have 20M miles on the car. Your service representative told me that that type of wear is normal. I do no t believe it is so more

While I was pleased with the dealership's ability to overcome all the issues with finding a vehicle that was truly in brand new condition when I purchased my Elantra in May 2013 and the accommodations made when the mistake of agreeing to install mud guards was actually something that could not be placed on my car...I was thoroughly disappointed in making the 90+ mile trip for the 9 month service check up. The service department did not seem very in tune with what their customer needs were nor very concerned with the wait. I guess if you don't provide a time for a basic oil change and tire rotation you can't be blamed when it takes triple the amount of time you'd expect. What frustrated me the most was the lack of follow up / explanation from the service provider for the work that was performed but more importantly the work I asked about on potential manufacturer defects (i.e. paint cracking in door as if something was protruding from the inside out, leather stitching unraveling in driver's seat). Had i not been told upon purchase that my car would be cleaned with every service I would not have expected it. However, it was disappointing to find it appeared dirtier than it was when I came in. Do not recommend utilizing the service department as it is currently being operated. more

Perpetually Leaking Oil Pan 3/13/2014

I had the oil pan resealed at 50,000 miles or so and brought it back in because the oil pan is leaking again. I was told that even if it was resealed, it would leak again and that the leak wasn't that bad. I've had many cars most good, and some bad, but I've never had anyone tell me that a car leaking oil is normal. Keffer has been a pretty good dealer to us, though this service experience was underwhelming. more

Service Advisor, Chris, once again exceeded my expectations. He is always smiling, quick to acknowledge me and efficient in getting my vehicle serviced promptly. My sales person, Tom Mills, always takes time to stop and say hello and inquire on how I like my vehicle. Additionally, another sales person, Crystal, stopped by and introduced herself and was very warm and friendly. Great examples of why I continue to choose Keffer Hyundai for my vehicle service. I have lived all over the country and owned many different makes of vehicles and this is one of the best all around dealership experiences I have ever had. more
