If you don't live in Albany, or drive down San Pablo Avenue on a regular basis, it is very unlikely that you've ever heard of Kasuga. It truly is a hole in the wall, tucked in between auto mechanics and hidden behind an iron gate. I never would have found it if it weren't specifically recommended to me by a friend. And now, I'm recommending it to you, Judy's Book readers, because Kasuga truly offers everything you could want in a sushi restaurant -- kind, attentive service, fresh sushi and rolls (they use real crab in their california rolls -- hallelujah!), and low, low prices. It is very easy to get a good meal there for under $10. I definitely think you should check it out.
