The phone customer service rep is a little snippy and rude. Honestly, I am new to consignment so I did not intuitively know that they would not accept returns. So that is my fault, however, she did not have to be soooo rude. I don't appreciate being talked down to.
In all fairness this is the story:
- I ordered from their Ebay store and when I received the item it was not what I thought it was. I called and said it was my mistake and they offered to give me a credit. Which they usually don't for Ebay purchases. So that was really nice and fair.
- I then used that credit to purchase a dress from the site store not Ebay. But it did not fit so I shipped it back. This is when I got the phone call lecturing me about how they do not EVER accept returns and that was standard with Consignment Stores.
- She said they could re-consign the item (which I may get back 50% of what I paid but, absolutely NO returns). I am not familiar with the Consignment process so I asked her to explain and that is when she took this very rude and impatient tone. She said "It is ALL OVER THE WEBSITE that we do not ever accept returns and that is the standard in consignment." I said ok fine just ship it back.
-Then she called back telling me I needed to pay for shipping, which is fine. I then said when you say "No Returns" is ALL OVER THE WEBSITE " -where is it? It is not at the bottom of the site or the top of the page. It IS under the customer service tab or in other fine print areas and it is NOT in the checkout area. She then said “I disagree I think it is very clear and besides that is just how consignment works.
I am sorry you are upset but, this is our policy."
I am not upset they would not accept the return. I am upset that she was rude and talked down to me.
