the worst!!! 12/18/2009

I'm only giving it one star becasue you can't give zero..... What a complete dump. The bartenders suck. One even demanded a tip after terrible service. Who does that? And, you have to pay per song. The staff is sooo bad. Skip this craphole and go downtown or Koreatown for karaoke. Leave midtown for the under-achieving tourists and douchebags. Cons: everything more

sensational karaoke bar 11/14/2009

I had the best time at this bar. A bunch of friends came with me to celebrate an anniversary. I have been to a few Karaoke bars, and this one is different. Top Tunes has the nicest bar section of any Karaoke bar in NY. The rooms are huge and they offer great group deals. Bar staff are attentive and friendly, and speak English well. Great selection of songs. Pros: great happy hour, big party rooms and classy atmosphere more

Fabulous staff 10/13/2008

Some friends told me about this place and I decided to check it out. I had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The drink prices were average NYC prices ranging anywhere from $5-$8 for standard drinks. The attmosphere was beautiful and the food was great. I went on a Tuesday so it wasn't too packed but I was informed that weekends are very different. You could wait up to 2 hours for a song. So go during the week. I will for sure go back to this place. Pros: Amazing staff, food, atmosphere, and large bar Cons: weekend waits more

not cool 7/25/2008

Staff was cool, drink prices were okay, and the Mojitos were awesome! I'm not the type to go on a rant about how everything was bad because it wasn't. The unstable chairs and tables made things quite annoying and the Judges last saturday night must have been deaf because it was obvious they put the wrong person in fist place (hence the overwhelming sigh coming from 98% of the audience). Other than that, the staff was awesome even the door guy was very respectful and pleasant and we met some fun people. PLEASE CHANGE THOSE CHAIRS. more

Great time, great staff 5/18/2008

Randomly walked in and I'm glad we did because I had a great time. The staff was fun, friendly, accommodating and patient. Some entertaining patrons around the bar. A great vibe all around. Pros: Staff, tvs, location more

A bit of a rip off 5/9/2008

Went to Top Tunes on a thursday night after work. Their website said that it's $6 a person an hour, they tried to charge us $8. When we told them it says $6, the lady was like, ""Ok, fine!"" Also, after 3 hours 1 of the girls left, so we asked the management to take one person off our bill for the remaining hour and they gave us an incredibly difficult time (he literally said, ""not my problem"") and it took us some convincing to get him to do this. On top of that, they charged us 18% gratuity, even though the website states that its for parties of 6 or more (there was 5 of us), even though they didn't wait on us, we had to get our drinks and food at the bar. Drinks were expensive -- $10 a shot and food was expensive too and portions were tiny. They also conveniently ""forgot"" about their happy hour and tried charging us the full price.\r \r On the upside, the room was big, had 3 TVs in it, so we didnt all have to stare into one space. Song selection was good, all the equipment was good, except the batteries in the mics were dying. \r \r So if you go, just read the website carefully and prepare to argue with the rude and supposedly misinformed staff. Pros: nice room, good song selection Cons: pricey food+drinks, rude staff more
