YUUUMMM!!! 11/26/2010

My family and I wanted to get sushi tonight and when we put the address in the GPS we thought we were going to a place my sister had already been but we had the wrong address and it took us to Kagawa. We were greeted with a smile and had our drinks a few moments later. We ordered 6 rolls of sushi, 2 entrees, an appetizer, 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 soft drinks for $100. The Kagawa house maki was the greatest roll ever!! Our service was above and beyond, the atmosphere - amazing and the food was incredible. I would return to this place for all my sushi needs! more

Best Sushi 4/28/2008

We have been to Kagawa many times in the last few months.....the sushi here is the best on the South Shore....granted, there isn't much good sushi on the South Shore. Teh hand-rolled Spider (Soft shell crab) is incredible. Service is friendly and prompt. The place is spotless. May not be as hip as some of the places in town but there's plenty of parking and the food is awesome! Pros: great food...parking ...service Cons: ambience is a bit bland more

Kagawa the Best Sushi on the So. Shore, Fantastic Service, Impeccably Clean, Moderate Prices! 2/27/2008

Kagawa restaurant is an impeccably clean, friendly & quiet atmosphere. Top service polite and accommodating wait staff. Delightfully fresh food some elegantly spiced. I have gone to Kagowa for years and I'm NEVER disappointed! The sushi is fresh, made well and they will even make it to your specifications. I highly recommend Kagawa to anyone who loves Japanese sushi and a nice atmosphere, they even have private rooms where you may be served in traditional Japanese style while sitting on the floor. May I suggest the Kagawa Marki a delight blend of different tastes, bound to entice your pallet also the vegetable tempura light and cooked to perfection. Pros: Parking in rear, Great fresh sushi, nice ambience and lighting, fantastic service, impeccably clean Cons: rear enterance needs to be spruced up a little sanded and salted better in the winter more

Good sushi, but poor services. 9/5/2007

I've been to Kagawa twice. I have to admit the sushi is very fresh compare to some of the sushi restaurants in Boston. However, out of those two times at Kagawa, they charged me about $10 more in my debit card as tips when I already left them cash on the table. The first time they charged me literally $10 more and returned the money a week later. The second time I did not see any refunds. I think this is a very unorganized and it's very unfair to me as a customer who's paying all these extra money because of their mistakes. I will not go back to this restaurant despite of the fresh sushi. I think there will be other places in Boston with the equavilant qualities but a much more professional. I guess my only advice is that bring cash! Lots of cash because this place is expensive. more

Good Sushi of All 7/11/2007

Best sushi in Boston. I try so many Japanese restaurant, this is the best one. I am the regular customer there. The favorite sushi is Kagawa house maki, it taste so good, you will not forget it. Friendly service as always, although sometimes they are busy, worth for a wait. Parking is hard. Cons: parking more

Great fresh sushi, great service. 6/11/2007

I dont' know what the other reviewers are talking about. The sushi here is the freshest you'll find both in Quincy and in Boston and at a better price. The service is above par. You're seated quickly, brought your beverage, alcoholic or virgin and giving the best knowlegable advice on ordering sushi and/or saki. For great fresh food, service and atmosphere, Kagawa is the way to go. I've eaten lots of sushi in Boston, Quincy and other states and Kagawa is right there with the best of them. Pros: Freshness, service, knowledge Cons: parking more

It was a very good atmosphere when walking it. I was greeted right away and seated very quickly. The waitress didn't give me much time to look at the menu so I had to ask her for more time twice, since she would come back 30 seconds later. After ordering the food took a while to come out but the taste made up for the wait. We ordered sushi off the list but never recieved it. We didn't care since we were glad that we weren't charged for it. All in all we loved our time there. Pros: very nice decor, food nicely presented, very romantic lightin more

I'm not usually a happy diner! 11/18/2004

I'm not usually a happy diner and find lots of things to bitch about while dropping $80 or so for diner. But this place stumped me! Kimonos... perfect fare... friendly faces... extra napkins. I know it's Japanese Sushi and Sashimi but they do have some somewhat mainstream dishes. And no... I don't own the place or work there. more
