Koa Kampgrounds is family friendly 9/24/2009

great kampground. lots of activies. heated swimming pool, great staff, great view of the mountains. the camp sites are big enough for 2 or 3 tents. we are going back for another visit soon more

Great camping for someone who wants to CAMP 10/15/2007

If you want cable and close to town why don't you go to a hotel. We went to the KOA in Boone, NC and had a great time. The scenery was unbelievable and the campsites for tents were large. The sites for campers were under trees and had hookups for water and electric. We were just minutes from tons to do. An entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway was just up the road and Grandfather Mtn. was about a 15 to 20 minute drive the other way. The campground had a list of all the festivals and other things going on in the area. Of all the campgrounds we have used this one was the best. more

This campground is out of the way 11/16/2005

This capground is out in the country with nothing around. It is on the ouskirts of Boone. They have a pool, playground, minigolf, and a small petting zoo (deer). But they do not have cable. We did not care for this campground. We prefer one that is closer in to town and one that has cable. more
