I agree with the a lot of the other posts, i.e., these folks really are greedy! I had an appointment for my dog's dental cleaning. The vet's office called me the evening before the appointment and canceled. A few weeks later I received a $30 bill for being a no show. I refused to pay the bill since I wasn't the one who canceled. After going round and round with the belligerent office manager, I received a letter in the mail telling me that I could no longer use their services. I say to that, NO PROBLEM!!! more

DO NOT USE THE SERVICES OF JULINGTON CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL! Well, unless you enjoy paying $247 to board your dog for the weekend. I brought my dogs to Julington Creek on a Friday and wanted to pick them up on Sunday. Their day conviently rolls over at noon and pick up is only from 4-6 on Sunday's, so I got charged for a full day for four GD hours! Then, without asking my husband and I, they ran a test on my dog, gave him the treatment, and then sayed both dogs had to be bathed. Racking up our bill..which they should have called before. Luckily the money isn't an issue for us, but what if it had been? You can't just do people that day. They are a bunch of greedy f***s! I wouldn't give them 1 star but you have to choose something. Pros: not a damn thing Cons: Over-priced, gave us a huge bill on things we didn't ask for more

They only care about the almighty dollar! I was just turned away from seeing the vet because of a 20 dollar dispute. They would not get my dog,who was in a lot of pain, in to see the vet because they said I no showed for a grooming appointment 14 months ago. This is not true because I have seen the vet since that time and they didn't say anything to me about this. Plus I never get my dogs groomed there. I go to Pet World which is wonderful. They don't care about the animals only their own profits and they will try to get them anyway possible. I have since found a wonderful vet. Cons: Horrible office staff more

My 10 month old Papillon had a seizure on a Sat. & we had to take him to the emergency vet hospital. He's never had one before, in fact I had no idea what was wrong I just knew something wasn't right & rushed him to the ER. That's where we were told he more than likely had a very mild siezure. The following week we took him to Julington Creek to have a follow-up along with my 2 yr. old Beagle to have his butt glands expressed. \r I just moved to JAX a few months ago & I've been looking for a full time vet to bring all of my animals. Dr. Rod Winchester Jr. saw my animals. Him & the vet tech seemed very nice. I was very impressed with the upkeep of the grounds & the hospital itself. Everything was very nice & clean inside. They even have a seperate waiting room for cats!! It's great.\r He took the time to explain everything I needed to know & gave me information on epilepsy in dogs. They also have a doggy daycare & resort with pool! right next door. It looks very nice & unique. \r This was the very first time I had been to this vet, my bill was $111.34. The majority of that was for the 6 month supply of heartworm & frontline I bought. They only charged me $10.05 for my beagles butt glands ( Switzerland Animal Hospital charged $27!!!) & there was NO CHARGE for even looking at my Papillon on the receipt!!!\r There are several other Vets there & I'm sure they are great, but I can't personally speak for them. But Dr. Rod Winchester & Julington Creel Animal Hospital will be our permanent Vet here in Jax. Pros: Nice Bldg., Clean, Nice staff, Affordable for my specific reasons for going Cons: Couldn't make appointment unless it was for vaccines. Had to be walk-in (Only for this Vet though) more

I took my three cats here for an update on their vaccines and wound up with a surprise $300 bill. Each one had been given an $86 ""anual exam"" without my knowledge. One of the cats had had an anual exam a month before this visit but they still insisted on this charge. A couple days later I noticed a 2 inch bald spot on another cats leg. When I asked about why this had not been mentioned, I was told that "" as a responsible pet you should have brought this to our attention before the visit"", and that the spot must not be anything if the vet did not mention it in the charts. How do I know they even look at the cat? Also, I think I deserve more of an explination than that for that much money. Oh, and I dont like being called an irresponsible pet owner and didn't I just pay you $86 for YOU too look over my cat? more
