Jon's Fish Market is an iconic place in the DP Harbor. Fish and chips is their game. Very casual and great atmosphere. more

I like the concept of this little shanty but the prices seem a bit high. Food is pretty good. Super glad they started taking credit cards as I never had enough cash to feed a family of four. more

Fresh Fish al Fresco 10/20/2005

Jon's is a neighborhood fish market at Dana Point Harbor that serves solid fresh seafood fare. The fish and chips are consistently good, and the catch of the day is always top notch. A bit pricey as is the norm in Dana Harbor but definitely worth a try. A pretty good sax man plays in the late afternoon and evening in summer months and adds a nice ambiance to a rather vanilla setting. PROS: consistent fresh seafood CONS: preparation a bit bland more

Jon's is both a fresh fish market and casual restaurant, and I have purchased both prepared and raw fish here. I like this place because it's right next to the beach, so it's a great place to get some fish or shrimp to go and carry it back to eat on the beach. I have purchased fish from their market and taken it home to prepare, and it has been good quality and seemed fresh. It will cost you a bit more than buying at your local grocery store, but it's probably fresher than they get, plus this place is on the water, so you have a nice view walking here that you wouldn't get a Ralphs or Albertsons! more

Pull up a seat on the casual patio or indoors and enjoy! Or take home some fresh fish or shrimp for your own BBQ!
