My parents took my sister and a friend and I here for dinner and we were all very pleased with the experience. We had 5:30 reservations on a Friday night and got there about a half hour early. It was pretty empty but filling up rapidly by the time we left. The view is obviously a treat, and everyone was pleased with their meal. I had the prime rib which was excellent and was big enough to provide dinner the next night, Mom opted for the portabella and crab ravioli and she could only finish about half of it, and everyone else has the salmon which was totally devoured. more

The service was great, and the view of the city was better than waterfront views. I had the Jamaica Chicken, which has such a wonderful flavor. My husband had the tenderloin alasha which was loaded with fresh crab. more

I look forward to my next visit. 3/20/2012

The warm and humorous waiter made the evening even more remarkable. The halibut and chips were outstanding, but the batter was a bit thick. Overall though, the evening was enjoyable and I look forward to my next visit. more

Great Happy Hour 1/20/2010

Johnny's Dock Restaurant is bad 9/7/2009

johnny needs to get a new job or stick to seasonings. my husband and i went to johnny's in hopes that we had found the next best thing, wrong. the floor was filthy, the service well, sucked, the prices were way to high for the type of food. my husbands really pricey halibut tasted like an omelet with no fish. the paint was peeling off the window sill . i paid 19.00 for fish and chips! and got hunts squeeze bottle catsup's.(not even the good stuff in the glass bottle) over all we weren't impressed. more

Best Seafood Around! 11/2/2008

Johnny's has been around since 1953 and still prepares the best seafood around! The quality of food, waitstaff and environment far passes some of the other local restaurants. more

John's Dock Restaurant 11/1/2008

John's Dock is a great place. We had our daughter's rehearsal dinner there and the service was great the food was great. It has a nice view of the water and the prices are very reasonable. Good place to go to dinner or have a group event. more

A legend goes bad 7/6/2008

My first Prom date was a wonderful dinner at Johnny's Dock, the original restaurant that burned down in 1961. I have eaten countless meals at this legendary restaurant. Saturday evening at 5:00 I brought a good friend to share the restaurant after visiting the Tall Ships. When I asked for a window seat (half were not occupied) I got an argument that they were for reservations only. They did relent when they saw my dismay. I asked if I could be served my favorite french dip,,,No, Well, could I have my favorite open face crab sandwich? No .We only serve dinners from 1:00 on, there is no lunch menu. That meant most items averaged $23.00 in price. The fish chowder was too fishy to eat and was returned. My calamari sat too long under the heat lamp and was served with a crust on top of the sauce and the breading tasking like salt. Again, I couldn't eat it. My friend didn't say anything until the meal was over but complained that her shrimp and fries were way overpriced for what she got. Last more

Johnny's is downright great! 2/16/2006

For mid-priced seafood on the water, no one can beat Johnny's! I'm sure there are plenty of other places around that offer decent seafood but Johnny's is the freshest for the dollar. Come here with a date and enjoy the quaint, quiet atmosphere where you don't have to plunk down $50 a meal to enjoy yourself.
