John's Toy and Hobby Shop is the coolest toy store around! I have visited this store since I was a very small child and now take my own two children there quite often. I have made many purchases there over the years and have always been pleased with my experiences there. The customer service is very good and the selection of high quality toys is wonderful! This is the place to take your big kid, The husband. He will have so much fun and you can giggle under your breathe. This is like an old-fashioned curiosity chest. All manner of fun toys are hang from the ceiling. They have musical item. Wind-up metal toys are here in abundance, as are wooden block sets. I love the 2.99 noise making magnets. you throw them in the air and just listen. You will find items here that can enrich your child's learning along with having fun. Their selection of flying planes and models are impressive to say the least. The staff is helpful and ready to get you that one of a kind item needed for that special gift. They have helped me out several times with gifts that were a HIT. They may not alway be as cheap as other stores., but feels good to shop and support local stores. From collectible dolls to wooden trains, this store has it all. It has a large selection of model accessories and knowledgable staff to answer any questions. I've enjoyed going in this place since I was a kid. They have a very large selection of collectible dolls. And the toys they carry aren't things that you would find in a typical toy store. They carry educational toys and games and most of them are non-electrical toys. That way the kids are encouraged to use their imagination. They're also a hobby shop and carry supplies and accessories for just about every hobby. From model cars, airplanes and trains. To education hobbies like telescopes. It's located in the Gaston Mall and it's worth the trip in to take a look. They are fairly expensive but they have unique items. more
