How come we cannot read the comments under each persons review? Anyway - I agree with Kataine. Rob in Human Resources is not the nicest person. I don't think he wants people to work there. I would imagine if he is at the beginning of the chain - the people he hires are just like him. He's not a very kind person. more

Great experience 4/4/2012

I used Riverview Hospital because I had real emergency. Hospitals are not for use of a doctor. My first trip to Riverview was a great experience, they rushed me back to a room and started all procedures that would be done for a heart attack. The emergency room doctor gave me options on what I wanted to do, I had an input. I choose what would work the best for my family. I had follow up instructions from the ER doctor, which I did. The follow up caused me several more trips to Riverview and yes I am like all I don't have good insurance either, but my life is more important than a medical bill. What I love about Riverview, when you get your bill they give you the option to pay the entire bill at a discount price or pay payments on total amount owed. \r If you all think Riverview is bad, try going to Community in Anderson. Now that is a real Death Hospital and they are out for your money. When you go to the emergency room their they alway want to put you in the Hospital. The ER doctors guess what is wrong with you and they always want to give you pain pills. Don't dare tell them you have an exsisting medical condition because that is what the ER doctor will say is wrong with you.\r Bottom line is, every hospital in Indiana has faults and every hospital in Indiana charges to much. Use a hospital as a place for emergency's not as a doctor and always follow up with your family doctor. Don't forget the family doctor will want several test also, so if you get sick make sure you have at least 3 to 4 thousand to pay the medical bills even if you do have insurance. \r I want all to know, I am like most people, I live pay check to pay check and have no money in the savings. Medical bills are not in my budget so I have the attitude, if they don't like my payment then sue me. I make monthly payments and yes I do argue with the billing department because they want more than what my budget allows. I do cut back on food and luxury items to make sure they get at least 50.00 a month just incase they do want to sue me. I haven't been sued yet but keep records incase they do try, at least I can show I am trying to make a effort to pay my bill.\r more

HR experience was less than stellar 3/8/2012

Spoke with Mary in Human Resources. She was rude and hung up on me when I called for a correction on a form she filled out incorrectly. more

WORST HOSPITAL IN INDIANA 9/26/2011

This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a hospital!!! I went in with a level 8 pain and was determined I had a bad infection and was told to take IBUPROFEN for the pain.... this would not kill an infection just take away pain.... so now NINE days later I am still in the same amount of pain and i called in and the nurse HUNG UP ON ME after saying all I could do now was come back in. I am already at a bill of over 1,000 and why could she not prescribe me something the first trip i made in instead of making me suffer for a week. THIS WAS THE RUDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER SPOKE WITH ON THE PHONE. This hospital does not care about their patients, they do not know what they are talking about, and they will basically tell you to take ibuprofen for anything you go in for. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER EVER GO THERE.. more

HORRIBLE 4/8/2011

HORRIBLE! My father who is 73 years old and has severe COPD was taken to Riverview Hospital by ambulance on Monday March 28, 2011 and Tuesday March 29, 201 for having a extremly low blood suger of 23 and 26 to just be sent home without listening to our other concerns that he was haivng. The ER doctor and staff was absolutely rude and seemed to not care that my father was ill and needed medical attention. So after sending my father home we got him into our famly doctor who sent us directly to Clarian North Hospital in Carmel were he recieved the best treatment from ALL the staff including the doctors. I can't say enough good about this hospital. I will NEVER take my father or anyother member of my family to Riverview Hospital because they are only quailfied for bruises and cuts. If your dying or in critial condition please don't go to Riverview Hospital... It has always been labeled as ""Deathview Hospital"" over the years and nothing has changed!! Thanks to Clarian North Hospital of Carmel, my father is doing fantastic and coming home soon!\r more

Horrible Service 11/9/2010

I had my husband in the ER early one morning after he got hurt really bad the ER nurses did not start any type of treatment on him for hour and half later. Our room was outside the nurse station and the nurses were to busy talking about where they are going to go clothes shopping and who had the good sales. The ER doctor had order him to have all of these CT scans done and we told him that we did not have great insurance so we need to do what needs to be done first. Well we were there that had other truma cases come in and had to lifeline 2 other people because the can not treat them. Then why have an emergency room if you can not treat a person. Plus if you go late at night or early morning they charge you more. Isn't that what an emergency room is for medical help, so why charge more for the worst service. They have a nick name and they hold up that nick name well. At the end we now have a $13000 medical bill that we can not pay for. more
