Unexpected Disappointment 6/28/2007

We've always been pleased with Joe's but tonights experience can only be described as Nightmare At The Crab Shack. It started out fine until we asked for the shades to be pulled down to block the sun. When my son finally started to put them down himself (in another booth) the girl came over to do it. Dust and dirt came down all over our table. No one offered to wipe the table off for us, they were just annoyed that we had asked them to lower the blinds. After a lengthy wait for the food, it arrived and was placed in front of us without the servers taking the dirty dishes from the appetizer away to make room. It was really quite crowded. Shrimp was soggy, cream sauce for the pasta was like water....it just was not up to the usual standards. Our waitress was nice but slightly inattentive. I can't say the same for some of the others who were very rude. Complaining resulted in accusations from the ""manager"" that we just wanted our meals for free. All we wanted was a sincere apology and what we got was insulted. I doubt I will ever eat at the Wilmot location again and I will no longer recommend it to my out of town customers when they ask for a good place to eat. It's not because of the food, (all resturants have their bad days) it's because of the way we were treated. Cons: need a manager with people skills more

Joe's Cr@p Shack more like it 10/4/2005

Never ask for a ginger ale. They try to mix coke and sprite and tell you it tastes fine. The food was awful, nothing like rubbery shrimp and overpriced fresh fish. Eating fried cardboard would be more tasty! more

Pretty good 8/8/2002

The blue crab appitiezer was really good, but I was suprised that when we asked for a side of bread (so we could dip into it), not only did it come AFTER we were finished, it was SOAKED to the crust...lets just say we did not eat it. Our steak and shrimp entree was good though. It is a bit on the expensive side. more
