It isn?t often that I sit to write a critique of a restaurant?s performance. This is, in fact, my first such review, but I feel compelled to quickly relate my brunch experience this morning at JLX Restaurant in Sag Harbor, NY, as you need to be warned prior to heading there for a meal. Rather than exaggerating the details of my not so bargain basement brunch in a hyperbolic, hamptonion sort of way, I prefer to summarize the specifics of my experience, which I liken to being much like a fat kid trapped in the sugar-free section of the candy store.
Key mishaps:

? The restaurant opened at 11am, we arrived at 10:55am. By 11:10, we were still waiting for the staff to seat us.
? A hostess never formally sat my group so after others began to fill the tables we sat ourselves.
? The table had 5 seats but complete place settings for 4.
? Our waiter, slammed my orange juice down on the table.
? A hair was found on a side dish
? When ordering you could only subtract items from an omelet.
? Due to the fact that we were one of the first tables to arrive we ordered our food yet almost an hour later we were waiting for everyone to be served their main course.
? The omelets had WAY too much oil on them and cause the fries to be soggy.
? French toast was listed on the menu as walnut and banana toast. None of which were apparent when it was served.
? The fruit dish was overloaded with granola and yogurt and had only a few pieces of fruit.
? SEVERAL menu items were never served
? We were over charged by almost $30
