Casual atmosphere, smack dab on the water with boats going by on the Intracoastal (the bartender rings a bell when they go by - a LOT if they like the boat), a REAL Tiki roof, ice-cold beer...and they have some really good bands. If that isn't enough to bring you by to try it, check this out: succulent littleneck steamers (the real little bitty ones) steamed to perfection in lots of broth and a generous slice of garlic bread for dippin', burgers so tender & juicy - build your own, they have all the "stuff", chicken sandwiches that melt in your mouth, build your own or chicken Philly (they have a steak Philly too), gourmet offerings for the discriminating diner such as Tuna Tataki and excellent Ceviche on special, typical Tiki fare of Conch fritters & conch chowder.Very reasonable price, good value. Live music - they support local music! . Friendly, attentive service and a management who really cares. They're turning this place around, don't miss out! It's gonna get very, very hot & happening here real soon! more

Found Jimbo's Sat night and loved it! The place was jumping! Great food and service, not to mention the band was excellent. Right on the Intercoastal - Met the new manager ~ doing a great job! We ate the burger and the peel and eat shrimp. The burger was amazing and the shrimp were perfect. Relaxed and this is what South Florida on the water dining is all about. Reminds us of Sundays on the Bay... more

Definitely not fond of the Hollywood area, but my date & I happened upon this place Friday night and decided to check it out & dock the boat there. SO glad we did! The live band was great, and it was packed, however we didn't have to wait long for service & our waitress did a good job overall considering how busy it was! The drinks were great and perfectly mixed...I LOVED the presentation of my cherry vodka & soda, garnished with fresh lime and cherries! We shared some apps together. Their tuna and seaweed app was heavenly, with fresh lemon wedges and the tuna wasn't the least bit fishy. We also split their fish tacos, which were also perfectly blackened and tender. Its definitely a hole in the wall tiki bar place, but if you stumble upon it like we did, definitely give it a try! And with live local bands you CAN'T go wrong! more

A few friends and I have been to Jimbo's and it has to have the worst service in Southern Florida. We seem to always wait at least 20 mins for a server and/or bartender to even acknowledge that we are there. They walk by and never hear us saying "excuse me" and they seem to be more interested in talking to other servers and standing around than waiting on people. One Saturday we were there to watch sports and as we asked the manager (male) to please change one tv, he replied " theres an F- ing tv over there you can watch!" That was real nice from someone in a managers position. I feel if your hungry and you want respect and a nice time skip Jimbo's! Thers too many other places that will treat you better and they might actually clean your table off without you having to do it yourself! Maybe the owner should come in and watch how his restaurant is being run! more

The food was pretty tasty! But the service was terrible! Some one the worst service I've ever had! more

Had the beer battered shrimp and sweet potato tater tots. 10 big shrimp, way more food than I could eat. Service was very lax & slow, but food was good, band was quite good. Prices were fair. Nice to sit by the water and watch the boats, but the cigar smoke bothered me. Friends liked the mahi grilled and blackened. Bar didn't know how to make a hurricane, which was sad as it is an easy drink. more

I ove the location of JImbos and the food is pretty good, unfortunately the bar has a tendency to pad the drink tab, other than that a great place more

Sucks, atmosphere is great but the service sucks. Waited a hour for peel and eat shrimp. Wait staff finally told us they were short one chef. This is the second time we went here and the same thing. Wait a long long time for food to come out. To top it off when it does come out it is not very good. We will never ever go here again. more

Tweener- between good and bad. Great atmosphere, music and vibe. Drinks are also great. Food just so so. Sliders had a fish taste, steamed clams good but over cooked and too much garlic. Onion rings were crispy but a bit too much greese. With that said hhe burgers and wings looked awesome and seemed o be enjoyed by those that ordered them. more

One of my favorite spots. The location is amazing - right on the intercostal with nature preserve in the background and right across the street from dania beach. The mahi sandwich they serve is my favorite fish sandwich anywhere and the fries are very tasty. The pricing is very reasonable, the wait time for the food has never been long, and the draft beer has always been fresh. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good food (not gourment, but better than standard bar fare) and great atmosphere more

A nice, native bar & restaurant! Boat tie up if you want to stop on your way up the Intercoastal Waterway. Nice vocalist on Thursday nights. Good seafood, nice waterside tables. more
