I walked onto this job after he had to fire another carpenter for shoddy work and poor performance. He had every other carpenter bid only chunks, tear down, frame roof, frame walls, floor, etc. And my crew ended up doing EVERYTHING. It was a second floor addition. So we tore the roof off entirely, reframed the floor, sheeted, hung walls up, new roof, and even started to roof it for him because his roofers never showed. He is a lousy GC to deal with, and Ive heard nothing but bad things about him. He is aggressive towards his customers, as well as subs. He underbids projects. He wanted to cut the rafters for my crew, and constantly cut too short. even after we layed out, and measured for him. He would have the capacity to waste his own time, and material. I brought well over 35 years of construction experience onto that job. and Walked away being owed several thousand dollars. Be very weary of using Jim Hallahan. and please use this review as a guide, and seek far more professional contractors to deal with. Im ashamed of myself for wasting my crews time, and effort to deal with someone as shady as him.
