Jekyll And Hyde Restaurant And Bar

My friends and I went into the Jekyll and Hyde in Greenwich Village on Saturday night and had perhaps the most fun one could have at a restaurant. Upon entering, the hostess was extremely friendly and we hardly had to wait for a table. We were immediately greeted by an enthusiastic server who found out it was our first time and was more than prepared to tell us all about the restaurant and what to look out for (i.e. the ""experiments"" that take place). Then, it felt like no time at all had passed from the second we picked from over the 100 beers on the menu to the time they were brought to us. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was more than accomodating when my girlfriend wanted to switch out some things on her platter. The food probably took no longer than fifteen minutes to come out, and it came out steaming hot and tasty. The butler and maid continously amused us, and the ""hunt"" for the bathroom was memorable as well. And the best part, at no point did we feel rushed or ignored--which is rare in New York City. Additionally, our server was more than happy to talk to us, giving us suggestions of places to check out in the city. Also, they LOVE birthdays! I don't think I've ever seen more attention given to someone on their birthday than this place. The only thing we didn't get a chance to try was the dessert! We laughed all night, never had any problems, and will most definitely return for an encore. WOW two great dinners in two nights. I went to the Jekyll and Hyde Club on sixth avenue last night and had such a great time we visited their downtown location tonight and had another great experience. The servers are so cool and friendly and the food was tasty. We had the chicken fajitas tonight and had the pasta fetteccini with chicken last night. We went to eat at the Jekyll and Hyde restaurant on Friday night and really enjoyed the fun atmosphere and good food. The best burger I have had in the Village. My friends and I came across this place while walking in the village. When we walked in it seemed like it was there for 200 years. Really cool stauff inside. We had a great tiem watching the shows and characters and ar food was just what we were looking for. I was trying to impress my relatives that came to visit me out of town beleive they were very impress with the services the worst nightmare i had my 6 year old cousin they make us seat next to this drunk young adults. they were drunks and cursing out we orden drinks it took 20 minuts to get something to drink. beleive it me I want to leave but it was Raining very hard all night ..the worst services 30 minuts to place a orden on appetizers we keep asking them for our drinks beleive after this i would never go back there again ...I asked to change my table cause of this people seating next to us they told me it would take another 20 mints after i waited 45 mints on this table .... If you want something really different than try Jekyll and Hyde. It is a lot of fun with live entertainment and all kinds of Disney type special effects. The food was pretty tradional but it was hot and good with large portions. I highly recommend it. I am going to the mid town location next. Pros: fun, unique, friendly more

If you are the type of person who likes being scared and entertained, this is a great place to go and eat. My husband and I thougt it would be great to go to the Jekyll and Hyde Pub for our anniversary, and to our surprise it was fantastic. The have over 100 different beers to offer thier guest so that made my husband very happy and the food was delicious, if I must recommend a dish it must be the pumkin tortelini. The entertainment was great they have shows that go on through out the dinner. Please take my advice, go and try this place. Its located in greenewich village. We had a great time at the Jekyll and hyde Pub last night. We were walking around the village and went into this place just for some drinks. After really enjoying ourselves at the bar we sat down at a table and had dinner. The server was really cool and served us our food and drinks with a smile. My girlfriend and I went Jekyll and Hyde for the first time tonight and we had such a great time. The puppets on the wall were making fun of my shirt all night which my girlfriend found very amusing. The server went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. I am allergic to certain types of foods and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and brought our drinks and food very fast. This was an unexpected find. Excellent food, huge portions, decor is unique and suited to the theme. Our host (an actor) was very enteraining without being pushy. Not a chain gimicky atmosphere. Dr. Jeckel and Hyde is not at all a place to go with a party of two. It's really a compact area plus the mood is unbalanced. Service was horrible and the food wait was outrageous. The restaurant is highly not recommended. Pros: Food, Drinks Cons: food wait, consistency , noise level more

Jekyll and Hyde Pub is great! We had over 100 beers to choose from and the food and service was excellent. The second we walked in the hostess was polite and friendly. The hostess asked where we would like to be seated either the patio or the Grand Salon. We chose the Grand Salon so we can enjoy the entertainment. Next time I will sit out on the sidewalk cafe so we can enjoy the village atmosphere. I highly recommend you visit this resturant the decor and entertainment is like have Disney in NYC. We were in the village on Saturday night and checked out the Jekyll and Hyde Pub on seventh ave. The beer selection was awesome with over 100 differnt beers to choose from. We ordered the steak and two monster burgers. Well I was pleasantly surprised how good the food tasted. The service was great. We even asked for the manager so we can tell him how much we enjoyed this place. You should check out the bathrooms they are hidden really cool place. I really love these place. I have been to mid town restaraunt before, but I never went here. It is smaller and more intiamte, but just as fun. Great entertainemt and food. It was very cosy. I went there with a huge group of friends. Thank GOD my b/f and I ate b4 going there. We ordered a plate of calamari and a soda float and a coke. Located in the scenic West Village, J&H attracts the typical passerby with its offbeat charms and promises of a unique dining experience. Once inside it's when the horror really begins. Waited 20 min to be seated and another 20 to have our orders taken, not because the restaurant was busy but just because our waitress forgot we were there. Next came the corny actor playing the role of dreadful British butler, with lines too cheesy for even a B horror movie. Top it off with decent but very overpriced food. The ultimate insult came at the end, when while searching a good 5 min for the hidden entrance to the restroom among the bookshelf walls (you heard correct), the overhead announcer described my pathetic attempts to find the bathroom door to the entire restaurant the whole time.
