My friends and I went into the Jekyll and Hyde in Greenwich Village on Saturday night and had perhaps the most fun one could have at a restaurant. Upon entering, the hostess was extremely friendly and we hardly had to wait for a table. We were immediately greeted by an enthusiastic server who found out it was our first time and was more than prepared to tell us all about the restaurant and what to look out for (i.e. the ""experiments"" that take place). Then, it felt like no time at all had passed from the second we picked from over the 100 beers on the menu to the time they were brought to us. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was more than accomodating when my girlfriend wanted to switch out some things on her platter. The food probably took no longer than fifteen minutes to come out, and it came out steaming hot and tasty. The butler and maid continously amused us, and the ""hunt"" for the bathroom was memorable as well. And the best part, at no point did we feel rushed or ignored--which is rare in New York City. Additionally, our server was more than happy to talk to us, giving us suggestions of places to check out in the city. Also, they LOVE birthdays! I don't think I've ever seen more attention given to someone on their birthday than this place. The only thing we didn't get a chance to try was the dessert! We laughed all night, never had any problems, and will most definitely return for an encore.
