Jayhawk Guttering

Mean! The guy who owns Jayhawk guttering is really mean. Poor customer service, doesn't even come close. I called for an estimate on gutters for a home that I am buying and he was totally unprofessional. He griped about doing a free estimate for our situation (negotiating with the seller on fixing the gutters) and when he finally did the estimate he was upset because I had another company doing a quote also. He said "you guys run us ragged doing all these estimates, when you only need one." 'You guys,' like I represent the entire population. And I did need two estimates because I wanted two estimates. A consumer shouldn't feel bullied by anyone to just take their price and service level and not shop around. I'm glad I don't have this guy with his bad attitude climbing all over my new house! Pros: There are plenty of other gutter companies to choose from. Cons: The guy was upset he had to conduct a free estimate. Even though he advertises "Free Estimates." more

My mom and dad used them to replace their gutters a few years ago. They designed one of the upstairs gutters to dump part of the water load directly on a lower roof (not too unusual but should be avoided and usually can be with some thought) but it was right above the fireplace area which is always going to be at risk for leaks anyway. Sure enough a few years later water is leaking around the fireplace and the shingles are decaying there from the extra water. My mom recently had one of their guys come out to find out what would be the best solution and he was rude to her (now a 75 year old widow). He claimed it was done correctly and that she just wanted free repair service. His tone and style were terrible . If I had the time I would look him up and tell him directly. more
