Jamesville Beach is a great place to spend the day if you enjoy the sun. It is fun to run around on the beach throwing a frisbee around or just laying out in the sun. The water is decent, but I enjoy just going to lay out in the sun, and occassionally for a picnic. This is a great place to bring the family, or if you like to hike, you can find a nice secluded area for a romantic picnic.
