BEWARE, you are paying top dollar for RECYCLED chocolate 1/8/2011

I am giving ZERO stars to Jaques Torres, as i have learned just how well he is laughing all the way to the bank !!! Went in there three days after Christmas in search of a discounted chocolate Santa Claus, only to learn that Jaques Torrres never has a sale. What do they do with all the unsold christmas chocolates, i inquired. The answer to that is, they melt them down and make different shaped chocolate. So next time you visit Jaques Torres with the intention to pay inflated prices for tiny amounts of chocolate, ask yourself this: How old is this chocolate really? How many times has it been melted down and reconstructed before being sold to me at an extortionate price? What am i putting in my mouth...? And WHY WOULD I PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR RECYCLED CHOCOLATE ?!?! Bon appetit SUCKERS !!!! more

Trendy Hot Chocolate 2/15/2010

The store is slightly hidden but definitely worth looking for. If you're lucky you can actually watch them make the chocolate from scratch. All the chocolate confections are addictive. I especially enjoyed the chocolate bark, the chocolate chip cookie, and the flourless chocolate cake. But what makes the trip worthwhile is the hot chocolate, wicked or regular. We like to go there regularly for the hot chocolate and relax in their many lounge areas. Pros: One of the best hot chocolates in the city Cons: closes early more

Gourmet chocolate is always hard to resist. Here they have all kinds of chocolate bars, gift sets, hot chocolate, truffles, etc. If you like chocolate, this is a chocolate shop you cannot miss. Order their hot chocolate and you will be drenched in Chocolate Heaven! Buy one for your valentine and they certainly will love you more! Pros: Thick and Chocolaty! Cons: a little pricey more

Place for true chocolate lovers 6/11/2006

I had a little hard time finding the shop, but it was worth walking and looking for. The hot chocolate is a must-have, and I never can forget the first sip. It's just so rich & creamy that thinking about it makes me wanna fly to NYC. I was on vacation and staying in NY only for a week so unfortunately didn't have a chance to buy a beautiful pieces of chocolate, but the hot chocolate (both regular and ""wicked"") definitely tasted like a heaven. Pros: Mouth watering chocolate drinks more
